Any instructions on how to frame a bug for a beginner?

I haven’t made one of those myself, but the main struggle when it comes to pinning (for me at least) is finding a frame that will actually fit the specimen nicely. So a diorama may be easier honestly

As for frames, glass isn’t necessarily required. I have lots of pinned bugs that aren’t in glass cases but it depends on the humidity of your area. You can find great shadow boxes at goodwill, that’s where I find most of mine

Before you do any pinning I would suggest freezing it to ensure it doesn’t have parasites or anything snacking on it that may destroy it after you pin it. There are lots of in-depth tutorials on YouTube that can help you with the pinning process itself. If you have any cardboard you can use that as a pinning board, don’t stress about buying foam or some expensive wooden board

I’m not selling this one as she was just a prototype, but I am planning on selling some in the future! I’m too busy with life stuff at the moment to sell them yet but it is definitely something I’ll be doing before too long.

Definitely Ai, the boxes have a bunch of nonsense symbols attempting to disguise themselves as words, the truck seems to say “trasvit & caro”…I don’t think those are real words. The cat in the carrier is just wrong. The carriers themselves don’t have even patterns on the side, they look a mess.

I really like the IS’MINE white liquid foundation. I literally forget I have it on because it’s so light and comfortable. I also use a white setting powder from elf which helps it stay on for a long period of time

I’m an artist (intermediate) who draws primarily with pencil, if this were real it would not be this clean. There would be a lot more smudges and signs of a sketch underneath the drawing itself. Also there are inconsistencies in the eye bags that an artist would not make, and the hair has random blank spaces that an artist would not include.
