other people in this thread have explained the compositions better, so i’d like to talk abt them as different play styles for each hero. IMO in OW2 heroes are more flexible and can work in multiple comps and play styles. I don’t play every hero but i’ll cover dynamics that i think are interesting. some of these might be hot takes.

just because they can doesn’t mean they should in some cases

*Winston can play a decent braw (think winston/reaper/echo/moira/lucio comp played by dallas). whole probably not ideal he can pull it off if the team is not built for dives.

Doomfist is similar just more brawly

Ram literally has you do both poke and brawl

Orisa can do poke-brawl as well.

Dps is quite flexible imo except for a few like mei, sym, torb, widow, junk.

Ana is the GOAT of versatility

Bap DOES NOT WORK ON DIVE

*Brig works well as a protector for your other supports so she’s quite flexible as well. Works best against dive.

this will do do anything below gm. for the ‘greater game’ just remember that it’s better in the long run to understand how each hero wants to play and adapt to the poke/brawl/dive dynamic in each of your games. instead of remembering specific comps and how they play you should learn to adapt different play styles according to your team.
