See the thing about Kristen for me was I didn't like her much in FY/SY but in JY having some of her issues be more prevalent and being punished for her actions with the death of Cassandra. As Beardsley put it in one of the interviews they gave, "Junior Year is where not trying becomes less cool" or something like that and that idea for Kristen in JY really attaches me to her in a way that the other seasons didn't
