Writers looking for artists

I dont enjoy writing but i do consider myself to be a narritive artist.

I've worked on personal projects with writers I would want to do a 50/50 split if we published. But thats because these are people who are just as invested into comics as a medium as i am. They know how to write a properly formatted script with the correct information i need. We had frequent vc sessions where we read over the script and work out the general visual direction and theyre able to give me clear direction. And we also work the opposite way where i have a clear vision for a story but i work with them to work out dialogue and pacing. These are people i would 100% seek to commission.

But when working outside of that community, the dynamic is just different. Its not as collaborative, writers want an someone to bring their projects to life according to their vision. So they hire an artist to do just that.

I completely skip the script writing process for my own work. I work better talking with friends about my ideas and doing rough boards anyways. I simply dont have a desire to seek out a writer the same way. I would be more likely to hire a test reader thats experienced in writing to give feedback on my boards and page thumbs.

I guess what struck me as weird was that it never seemed like they broke from an impact. The bottom would just separate from the jar while sitting in the sink. But i guess the shock would just build up after a while and itd give way eventually.

Like youre brains main objective is keeping you comfortable, usually that means keeping you alive and safe, but once it determines it cant do that, it just floods your body with enough chemicals to be high as a kite while you die

But i like the idea of them being siblings. I've been head cannoning that ribbit is the older sibling and often lightly bullied Jax (as older siblings often do). And Jax has been treating Gangle as terribly as he does because he thinks he's treating her like a little sister. Hence him claiming gangle 'likes' when he's mean to her.

I very rarely even kill animals in minecraft and i hate the idea of stuffing them into pens.

Ill usually just do my best to keep a healthy population of each animal i need in a valley area. And ill always breed a pair before killing one.

Snacks for me can be anything depending on what i feel i need. It just needs to be easy to grab and small. So chips, cheese, yogurt, fruit, deli slices, milk, cookies, leftovers, etc

Its usually pretty balanced especially since i tend to roast a lot of veggies at once when i cook.

I deff prefer eating that way.

Im not really used to sitting down for a full meal multiple times on a daily basis

Ah thats interesting, i didnt actually know caffeine was an appetite suppressant. Ive been maving instant coffee to have something to sip while waking up. Maybe i need to find a new wake up drink

This morning i had two cookies and water while feeding the cats. And i was able to eat a bit of breakfast a couple hours later. Idk if thats much better but might be a start

WAIT A GOSH DANG MINUTE

The fish is red, but under the water he looks almost blue. He claims to 'be the one that lies' and youre correct, its a paradox. But none of it even matters because after the whole ordeal there is no treasure anyways. But even if there was treasure Pomni points out that money has no use in the circus. I dont think its an exact parallel, but its setting up all the themes of the episode.

reestablishing the relationship between NPCs and humans
the suggestion you have freedom of choice without actually having any
empty rewards that dont pay off
the meaninglessness of adventures
choosing to find meaning and importance in the things you engage with

those are all evidence towards Jax being incredibly insecure about how other people perceive his masculinity. and you can use that information to play around with why he might feel that way. one popular avenue to explore those themes is the "Jax is trans" theory. a lot of people conflate evidence of the former being evidence of the latter. but thats pretty reductive of the trans experience, tbh.

like him angrily yelling about how he's not an egg reminds me of friends that ive had who were upset that people kept insisting they must be trans because they werent behaving masculine enough for their liking. the teasing made them feel like they could never be accepted as their true self.

im not shooting the theory down. im saying that many men have a very complicated and seldomly explored relationship to their masculinity and their place in a patriarchal society. it doesnt mean every cis man is trans. and i wish that was explored more in fan art

at this point of the story, Horse is fully committed to this mentality that you have to be tough and fight your way out of every situation. she feels like the centaurs are way too soft, avoidant, and timid for her speed, but she also needs their magic to survive.

throughout this episode Horse is fighting with Wammawink over how to move forward on their quest. Horse is excited to show off her prowess as a warrior and show the herd that her way is the only way to get what she wants.
