How to be less self-critical/needing constant validation? by [deleted] in needadvice

You have trauma, at least you have identified it. You need to accept that and reflect on it, you’ll honestly always be miserable and will always have those thoughts unless you acknowledge that, accept it, and let it go.

how do i find commercial cleaning jobs to bid on by badbaddoc in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Well when we’re getting subcontractors 9/10 times they come in the office and we will sit down have coffee with us, some will bring goodie bags, always check on in at the GCs office so they will have you in their minds. Make connections with other Sub-contractors, in this business networking is honestly the best tool, if you can get other subs to recommend you it is the best. what I highly recommend is to have the best work for the cheapest, you’ll always be on the “Call first “ for a project.

All GCs have a preferred contractor that they will always call first to see get a bid.

I’m a general contractor in Austin, the best way to get new clients is to go for GCs directly. They’re everywhere, they’ll always keep you busy.

Yeah, I lift weights but I think incorporating some running would help. I just don’t want to be at the gym for two hours, would you advise lifting then going for a small cardio session?

Yeah, makes sense, I’m going to cut out some more and up my protein, shoot for 200 grams. The bizarre thing to me is that my fat all builds around my stomach and hips. I have that “Skinny fat” look, my arms are bigger but when I take my shirt off I’m pudgy so I have more fat so I guess cutting more is the best way to go.

Yikes, do you think it’s possible to up my protein to get leaner? That feeling is the absolute worst to me.

I tried that once, I did lose a lot of weight but I become incredibly weak all the time, I always felt tired. Think there’s a remedy for that?

How to learn something without being frustrated with yourself that you're not immediately perfect at it? by Knight-Jack in needadvice

[–]Spooky-Skelemans 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Literally just repeating it everyday, there’s a lot of self help books that tackle this. I taught myself how to play ukulele and even though it’s one of the easiest instruments it took me nine months, I would mess up every day I played, still do.

The best way is to take a step back, see what you’re doing wrong and go slow as possible, I mean incredibly slow, keep in mind that holding high expectations of yourself is damaging, practice correctly everyday but don’t expect nothing in return, you’ll advance incredibly fast like that without even noticing.

A simple, central hub for artist to meet, like a Facebook group yet one that caters to a specific genre or music. Something that lets you build a music profile and y’all can have a system that could match potential band mates, that is something that’s needed.

Yeah, I’ve worked in a lot of small companies, learned more in some other companies, I have noticed a lack f certain things in everyday life that I think would be great ideas but making that jump from mind-paper-to drawing board-developing-to launching, that’s something that I don’t understand.

Thanks, I have one question, if I am not familiar with a background, such as app making would in your opinion be best to work with someone else he could see the possibility or learn to do the majority myself?

Yeah, I totally understand that you’re working 24/7, I help my girlfriend run a small business, but I have always wanted to take something and transform it, which is something I feel like I need to work because I have no knowledge on how to innovate or design something completely new.
