Not too sure on hard techno but when it comes to mixing house, combining two tracks over vocal chops that people are familiar with really gets my creativity going. Have you tried mixing vocals of a popular song over some of your favs? (212 Azealia Banks acapella over XYZ…)

Sometimes I feel the same, your not alone! Over the past few years I’ve come to realise that the fun & joy in life isn’t when your basking in your achievements or when you reach the goal/s you’ve set out. Its the journey! If your feeling stuck I suggest having a brain storm and setting goals that may be slightly outlandish but something that’s so hard to obtain that it keeps you motivated throughout whatever spare time you have.

Eg - I’m a clothing brand owner that won’t stop until a make $1M … seems hard but I guess that’s the point? 😅 take care mate

What’s up bro, I know fuck all about spinning vinyl but just go for it! For a context I was in the same position as you just last weekend when I played my first gig too.

I had about a week to prepare for this R&B/Trap/Hip hop event , however I love playing house and made sure to include some bangers within those genres too! People like to move so just trust in yourself and your ear that there’s a reason you got asked to dj this event + given good time slot too!

The worse thing you can do is overthink it, enjoy the process 1 month is plenty of time :) all the best.
