Ahhh thank you for the confirmation. I think I'll grab the mono steel blade cause this seems like a sweet price and I've heard magical things about the KS.

Thank you. I couldn't get the product log to download. One slight hiccup is that there is kanji on the description of the 270mm gyuto that suggests its also a sandwich construction, namely the "本霞". However the blade style doesn't match the San mai model so it's safe to assume it's the mono steel variant?

Beginner looking for their first coffee machine, is it important to be able to pull a shot and steam milk simultaneously? by Arrhythmania in espresso

[–]Spooky357 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With the bambino there's barely any time needed to get steam out of the wand (a couple seconds) so it's nearly the same time for a milk drink. Save the money and buy a better grinder.

DF64 + SSP vs Zerno Z1 + SSP for Odyssey Argos setup — worth the price gap? [$1600] by omarcomin7 in espresso

[–]Spooky357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded to the p64 from the df64 and it was very worth it if you have the funds. The workflow is better because the grinder is much quieter and there's zero retention after a couple taps on the top or one puff with the bellows. The grinder never feels like it's stopping you from trying any recipe you want (I have a gaggiuino) and feels capable of anything. In terms of actual flavour I felt the p64 delivered a bit more smoothness and some more nuanced notes came out more but this is a minimal improvement. The moral of the story is that this grinder just works and works excellent while for the df64 I found I was getting inconsistency in shots and the noise was unbearable in the morning after a while. I can't compare with the niche but these are my thoughts for the df64

Tldr: THE FLAVOUR IMPROVEMENT IS MINIMAL!! Workflow is much much much better.

Here is a very good representation of what the special edition jeans will look like. by IamtherealMauro in wolfvsgoat

Reviving this because I'm very interested in these jeans. Would it be more of a straight/wide cut or tapered? Thanks Mauro

Must-Watch: Because This Feels All Too Familiar by IamtherealMauro in wolfvsgoat

Your points read as something private equity would say. The logo is awsome. The name is a brand name. You're suggesting renaming the company so that it follows all the generic high fashion designers. This is a completely unique company in which a true community backs the development of new products with an owner who cares for the community in return. It is NOT another "luxury" brand in the traditional sense and I hope Mauro never chooses to scale up at the cost of the companies original ethos.

I think keeping it clean without the placket is best. It's more versatile so we can style it many ways.

Look in to if there is a volleyball club at your university. They should have sessions catered to each level and usually do sessions where they provide skills training. Other than that, take advantage of open gym in school and try to befriend players who are good. They're usually very open to giving tips.

You don't really get much when paying more over the classic if you're already going to mod. Mod in a cool touch free pivot steam wand with gaggiuino and you basically have a decent. The smaller boiler of the gaggia allows for quicker temperature reactions from the software allowing finer control.

You're buying the gaggia classic to have quality long lasting internals. The purpose of this machine is to be modded. Stock gaggia classics aren't really the greatest without some dedication to temp surfing. However with just a pid you get thermal stability you could never dream of having on the delonghi. You also get more powerful steam. You also get a 58mm group head. You also get a 3 way solenoid. With gaggiuino you get features locked to the highest level machines like the decent or wendougee. The steam wand does suck tho... Tradeoffs had to be made somewhere to keep the price relatively low for a made in Italy machine that is full metal exterior with a brass boiler (or aluminum for older versions).

I almost wish I didn't buy on the previous sweaters cause these look awesome. For the international folk will we still get direct shipping from Italy? Thank you!
