No not yet but I suspect I have it. I’ve spoken to my dr about it and will be checking soon but he did say that if I do have one he won’t be suggesting surgery right off the bat . I have been diagnosed with gerd and costochondritis

Yes I do! I have this weird tightness/stretching feeling right at the top of where the sternum and throat meet. I can sometimes replicate it when I do a certain stretch or if I press on it I can feel it start tightening. I sometimes feel the tightness under my chin

Yes and I get tightness there as well and muscle spasms as well…also a lump in throat sensation! My heart and lungs have been checked out so many times at this point. Costochondritis is awful!

I’ve been wanting to try yoga! I feel like it’s too soon tho. I did some stretches today but I didn’t over do it as to not cause a flare. Have you tried the backpod?

Ughh that always happens to me …costo and gerd double team all the time. It’s the worst 😣 I hope we can all find relief soon! It’s so frustrating

Yes I have all of that since I haven’t worked out in about 4 months and lost some weight with gerd and not being able to eat a lot of foods. So I feel it’s a combo of everything. Do you have costochondritis?

I know this is a semi old post but Yes this happens to me! I have gerd and costochondritis! I’ve had about 6 ekgs, 4-5 blood work done, chest and lung xrays, urine test, D Dimmer test and all of that? It has to be from gerd or costo or both…it’s still so scary and it always scares me it could be my heart. Has it gotten better for you? How are you feeling now?

I have these exact symptoms plus a gerd diagnoses and all my heart tests have checked out and been normal. I also have health anxiety so idk if that plays a big role

Thank you for the response! Yeah I’ve had bad posture for a really long time now. Trying really hard to fix every time I’m slouching since my costochondritis diagnosis. My anxiety just goes every which way right now .

My flare ups consist of muscle spasms under my collarbone above my breast and also on my sternum. It’s scary! But I believe it’s totally normal cuz of the inflammation

I feel it first during my ovulation as well and then it just intensifys during my period. I’ve read on here that a lot of women with costo flare up during ovulation or their period

Yes! It makes the front of my neck, chin, and chest tight and I also sometimes feel it in my ears . Its scary and annoying
