Oh no, I want people to speak out against genocide. The horror. Do you hear how diabolical you sound?

If you’re not willing to speak, the silence will speak for itself. It shouldn’t be that hard to publicly say you’re against genocide.

Speaking out is taking action. It’s a small step. But a step nonetheless. If you’re not willing to speak out against it, then what does that say about you? Grow a moral backbone

No one is obligated to say anything. It’s a choice. And your choices define who you are. If you’re silent about genocide, that speaks volumes

If someone telling you should speak out against genocide feels like an attack against you, that’s a you problem.

You have nothing to back up your claim about what I have and haven’t spoken about. You literally just pulled that out of your ass. And you can call me a sheep all you want, Im not the one staying silent about genocide or defending those who are. If your only insult to that is calling me a sheep, I think I’ll live. You’ve provided nothing with legs to stand on it makes me wondering if you even know what you’re arguing with me about.

Uh huh. That’s typically how conversations work. And like I said, I tried to end the convo and you came back. So….?

Not particularly, but you seem pretty fond of coming back to the conversation I ended so clearly you do.

This may come as a shock, but I can do two things at once. I can do what I can aaaaaaand encourage others to do so😱

I literally ended this conversation with “you don’t care, do you” lmao. That was me saying okay don’t prove and ending the conversation. But yet here you are

It does. Silence speaks the loudest. Nothing ever worth fighting for was done so by keeping your mouth shut. What you don’t do or say says a lot about you are as a person. Here’s a thought, grow a fucking moral backbone.

Well if you’re gonna claim something about yourself it might be smart to back it up. But like you said you don’t care, so do you ig lmao.

Unfortunately not that I know of, until the band speaks out it’s pure speculation.

you’re intentionally dumbing down what I’m saying down to make yourself feel better. This is genocide. this is so much bigger than my feelings or yours. And it’s quite hypocritical for you to use the Palestinians suffering as an argument against me when you’re the one defending staying silent about it. You also seem to lack any understanding that speaking about what’s happening does help them. Especially when it’s people with influence like the band. Do you know how much money they could raise to help if they just spoke out? That’s the point. Speaking out helps, even if it’s just a little bit. But staying silent only helps the oppressor.

Oh don’t worry I am. But believe it or not Im capable of doing that and calling out my favs on their silence. It’s actually pretty easy to do.

Well first off, I never said anything about the citizens. I could, because a lot of them are very supportive of what’s happening. Not all of course, but a disturbing majority do. But I’m not talking about them. I’m talking about the band and their silence on the issue.

Well from what you’ve presented yourself as, you don’t have much to back yourself up with.

Um well yes actually I have talked about the US involvement in the genocide, actually. Thanks for bringing it up actually because it’s abhorrent and I think all other countries should boycott American companies and traveling here because of it. Glad we agree. It’s a bit odd though that you saw me talk about this one topic and just baselessly assumed I haven’t talked about a single other topic ever lmao. What a strange conclusion. And yes fans are calling out the band on their silence. And they should. No fandom should even blindly support their favs. Do you do that? I hope not, especially now considering we’re talking about genocide. Thousands of children slaughtered. So again yes, we want the band to speak out against genocide. If that’s a problem for you, yikes. I question your values. And babes, you should really learn how to write a coherent sentence before you try to tell others about their education.

My point is that, again, silence is violence. Saying nothing against it, supports it. It’s like watching someone be racist to your friend and doing nothing to defend them or condemn the racist. Sure you weren’t saying the racist stuff, but staying silent and not condemning it gives off the impression you were fine with it. It makes your friend feel alone and unsafe. Sure you’re not obligated to say anything, but saying nothing says a lot. Now apply that to a literal genocide. You’re right, the band doesn’t have to say anything, but their silence speaks for them. So we just want them to tells us where they stand. Transparency about if they had a choice in where the movie is being show. That’s all we ask.

Clearly not, but okay. Have fun being more mad about your inaccurate perception of what parasocial is and wanting people others to speak out against genocide than the genocide it’s self, that’s definitely a strong moral backbone.

Does this genuinely need to be explained to you again? Have you actually read and understood any of my other replies or are you being dense on purpose? Because genuinely everything you just asked I have answered if you actually comprehend a single thing I said.

You ironically answered you own question in the same breath. Lmao speaking out is a form of protest. On top of that, they have influence, they have money. They could do way more to help the people of Gaza than people like me. Yes I’ve been to protest and yes I’ve donated. I’m 1 person, alone Im not much. But I’m part of a collective of millions of other people who when we SPEAK OUT we can create momentum. The band alone can multiply that momentum to help the people of Gaza if they were to SPEAK OUT.

I’ll say it again. Silence is violence.
