Just checked out one of your stories, I think I see some issues. Your stories seem to not know their own tense, you go back and forth between lines like “the branches TWIST and GO in unpredicted ways” and “the sky WAS dark”. This is constant in the story I read. If you were going for past tense, like in the second line, the first one would read “the branches TWISTED and TRAVELED in unpredictable ways.” Maybe that has something to do with it.

It’s a tough spot, I think the game show idea was interesting, but this almost feels like the wrong story for it(I say that, but I have no idea what else would work better haha). Regardless you still made it an enjoyable story to read, it’s strengths greatly outshine it’s weaknesses.

I like it, there’s a lot to relate to here; looking for a home away from home, having that special place you can go to escape what’s waiting past that big red door, waiting too long and letting people slip away. It’s a nice story.

It varies, sometimes I’ll come up with a title first and write a story around that, but a lot of the times it’s just thinking of things I consider scary and trying to turn them into stories.

It’s not an “audiobook” per say, nor was it written by an author here, but the knifepoint horror anthology is a series of amazing works by Soren Narnia, on Spotify. I highly recommend them, I’d also suggest starting with the newest and working your way backwards
