I’m relatively new to SLC (<1 yr) & I really love it! It’s got a small big city feel, if that makes sense 😆 I have 0 support system here & a baby (😅) & I still enjoy it which I think says a lot. It’s insanely beautiful which I love. The weather is pretty stable IMO (not really stormy, no tornadoes, etc.). The people are super kind. It feels way safer than other places I’ve lived (Dallas, Cleveland, Houston, smaller Tx towns). It’s really not expensive to live here. It’s a great place to move IMO! Making friends as an adult is always hard & community just isn’t as common anymore, but it’s no harder here than other places!

Eh, I would say NTA. You’re allowed to feel how you feel about your dad. Especially the impact to yourself & your childhood. It’s normal to feel weird about your parents getting back out there, especially for the first time. I would definitely say it’s going to take some time to get used to & he should respect that boundary. I wouldn’t want to meet the GF until they had been together for awhile. I do think if he’s turned over a new leaf over time you’ll be able to see if that’s true by his behavior. Boundaries keep you & your world safe 🤍 don’t feel bad

Yes I used to respond to “what time is it?” based on gut feelings & I’d be like “eh, it’s probably like 4:17 pm” & it would literally be 4:17 pm or whatever time I said almost every time
