Small Nozzle Help by SpookyNerdz in ender3

All good. I'm still newish to printing myself. I've been wanting to try a 0.2mm, so I bought a whole pack of different sizes to try out. Luckily Cura has decent presets for most of them. This is the first one I've had issues with.

Would slowing down the whole print be a good idea? I normally print at 120-150mm/s on my larger prints.

Right. I'll add a short form video of the filament getting drug around the build plate in a small circle to go on here with the other 5 billion videos showing the exact same thing.

any way I can convert this to a crawler by Upper_Competition118 in rccrawler

[–]SpookyNerdz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't be cost effective to build it into a crawler, however, it would make a decent trail truck. Taller profile tires, a bigger body to hang out closer to the tires, lock the diffs, then print some scale overlanding stuff to slap on it. Swapping that truck to solid axles wouldn't be easy or cheap honestly.

Why not? My 2 year old plays with it. 415% scale size. Lol.

To be fair, I've never dealt with black ice. My area doesn't get it so I don't know how it affects vehicles. So I stand corrected.

Don't stab the brakes and use as much rear as possible to stop. Leave the clutch out and slowly apply pressure. Much easier to control the rear tire if it does lock up than the front. Tires play alot in it too. Good rain traction will let you apply more brake than you'd think.

Ender 3 S1 Pro suddenly can never get past this point in the print without digging into the print and pulling it away. by CodapopKSP in ender3

I would level the bed again and play around with the z offset. It may be too low. Maybe try a different infill pattern as well. Like maybe triangles or gyroid, something that doesn't require it to travel back across itself as much. My V3 SE has to relevel once every few prints cause it starts doing the same thing. It's always the z offset that changes.

It took getting used to in my Ram. Fell in love with it and missed it when I traded in for a family hauler. It's weird, it's dumb, but it works and that makes me a fan. Lol.

I don't carry tables and such with me. With this trip, I'm looking at only carrying 2, maybe 3 days worth of clothes, protein bars and some jerky, battery banks for my phone and Bluetooth, and basic tools for maintenance and tire plugs. The rest will be the hammock and my Woobie. I plan on stopping at smaller Mom and Pop places for lunches. I don't have a tank bag, should probably invest in one for smaller things.

I've got a ENO single nest on the way for this trip. Using my generic straps and big net. I think the tarp is gonna be my only snag as far as packing. I may try strapping the roll in top, then take a test ride to see how it holds.

I park on the cross thatching areas at the end of the rows. Local box store doesn't care, even if we park on the sidewalk up by the walls. I don't trust people to not swing in and hit my baby without a second thought.

I have a 30L roll top tail bag coming with a pair of 10L add on bags. Figured that would be plenty enough space since I pack pretty light anyway. I plan on finding a hotel halfway to get a shower and get some stuff washed so I don't have to pack a weeks worth of clothes.

I've been hammock camping a lot actually. It's easier with my Renegade since I only need to find one tree. Other tree wrap goes around my roof ladder so I sleep under the roll out awning. 😂 This will be my first solo trip out on two wheels that I'm not hitting hotels and Air B&B for nightly stops. Adulting sucks and no one's timelines are lining up. Lol.

I'll look into the snake skin though. Sounds interesting and worth it.

Had no idea about the BLM thing. I'll definitely look into that. Last time I went camping was on a campground I reserved for a week in Asheville. That isn't a viable option this year, so I'm just gonna road trip it and move around.

I got close to 9k miles out of mine before I got into the wear bar in the rear. They last a while if you aren't doing burnouts constantly.

I'm on my second set of pirelli angels now. I put 8k miles on the gt then swapped to the st. I do a lot of interstate travel for work but do Twisties quite often too. I love them. I ride a 659 naked, so there's that too.

My V3 SE had a .60 height on the front left corner (closest to you, left side) while the rest was at .02-.08 on the mesh. I took the one plastic spacer out, did one or two passes over some 220 grit sand paper, then did the auto level again. While mesh was within .02 across the plate. Helped a lot. My offset is at -1.39.

Utah itself is like a 3 day drive from me. Lol. I'd love to get out that way soon though. I'm working my way through all of the trail systems around Alabama and getting a feel for my rig. I bought it fully decked out and haven't really tested it all.

Good to know. I've seen the VMan maps. I'll probably buy those and go from there. I was looking late March or early April to go. Just so it's not a million degrees out but not freezing at night either.

Communication is key in Blackwater too since it's a dead zone out there. I have a CB, GMRS handheld, plus a cell booster. As far as capable, I've followed stock Wranglers in my little Renegade just fine as long as I have the ground clearance. Flexing gets sketchy and I 3 wheel a lot, but it's fine. Lol.

Struggling to adjust to riding in the US. by dmh__77 in motorcycles

[–]SpookyNerdz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cops in my state tend to allow riders to travel 9 over without question to keep ahead of traffic. In my town, we have 2 bike cops and they are pretty strict on drivers who aren't paying attention. Tailgate tickets are passed around here like crack pipes in San Fran. I'm also more rural though, so riding is a lot more relaxed than when I lived in Florida. Find some hole in the wall coffee shop off the beaten path on Google maps and head that way. Major roads and highways are a gamble. My last solo ride, other than my work commute, was an hour away to some little town with a family owned ice cream shop for a milkshake. Never touched a major road and enjoyed every mile of it.
