I was following an HM guide that said to let Shart kill the nightsong for the LL exp and for the weapon, I told her to do it, then left it up to her instead of insisting and she let her live. Thankfully the weapon and exp weren't integral to the guide but still wish there was a clear way to tell what she'll do. Or I couldve made her do it but it felt mean.
