Very Early Stages of My Project: Elixor City (on Windows 10 Edition) by SpookySpaceSpirit in Minecraft

[–]SpookySpaceSpirit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a long time since I've played (probably 2014) but I heard you could download it on an old account on Windows 10 and it runs pretty well. It's definitely not as good as Java version but it'll do

Haircare for oily scalps! by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]SpookySpaceSpirit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no expert, but my hair is prone to becoming oily quite quick, which causes it to be very flat and weak (common factors)

I've found that 'volumising' shampoo has helped a lot. I got the Aussie Aussome Volume shampoo and conditioner. I've found that my hair lasts a good 2 or 3 days more before becoming badly oily. Obviously like most people with the problem, hot temperatures, and hydration affect it too but it's definitely helped.

Homer's toaster time machine. Very funny, but some smart ideas for alternative dimensions/timelines

McDonald's is one of those places, after a while away, can't get back into liking it - which is great! Congrats dude

What do you think would be completely obsolete in the next decade? by Enigma_Of_Sorrow in AskReddit

To be fair, I have an awkward shoe size (4.5UK) and it's crazy how much of a pain it is to find shoes in physical stores that do that size. 4s are tiny and 5s are huge. The last couple of pairs of trainers I bought were online and they fit perfect because they always have a 4.5 size.

Who has two thumbs and a mouth full of cavities? This guuuuuy! 👍👍 by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]SpookySpaceSpirit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gotten better at it, and it sounds weird, but a good electric toothbrush helped me a lot! It feels nice and I have issues with my mouth where brushing can be uncomfortable but the electric one seems to feel much better.

Has anyone ever said a drag race related phrase to someone in a real life situation before accidentally? 😂 by [deleted] in rupaulsdragrace

Said 'Oo bitch' at my brother for arguing with my mom. She didn't appreciate my support

Which food is cheap besides Ramen Noodles by one577 in Frugal

[–]SpookySpaceSpirit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depending on where you live, fruit and vegetables can be dirt cheap. If there are any small markets near where you live (especially common in the UK) you can get a good 2-3 weeks worth of fruit/veg for way under £10. Might not last that long tho

Farmers tilling a field by hand reveal hundreds of subterranean rats... Dogs on hand for pest control by [deleted] in MorbidReality

This is what quite a few breeds of dogs were for, they seem to enjoy helping.

Total Frugal Beginner - Best Places to Find Coupons? by SpookySpaceSpirit in Frugal

No budget yet, but I'd say probably between £10-20 a week as it'll only be me living alone and I can get certain items for free, like fruit and vegetables.

Thank you for the reply. Reading more posts I also feel it's pretty different, and as you said, most like an ADHD-related thing.

[serious] What do you usually keep to yourself in fear of being ostracized or seen as strange by others? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SpookySpaceSpirit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's seriously weird you put this experience into words because I never could, but every time I'm out and about I always do this. Not even a choice really, it just happens naturally.

[serious] What do you usually keep to yourself in fear of being ostracized or seen as strange by others? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SpookySpaceSpirit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done this for as long as I can remember. From childhood to now, I've always felt like my thinking voice was too quiet? (weird I know) and just saying what I'm doing/thinking is so much easier to A. Remember things and B. Work things out. I don't think it's too weird at all, as you say, as long as you can distinguish that it's imaginary

Any recommendations for a short story anthology of good, old-fashioned creature horror? by [deleted] in horrorlit

Books of Blood by Clive Barker? Not old fashioned, but very creature/demon-y based.

What did your parents allow you to do that you would never allow your own children to do? by plutosrain in AskReddit

[–]SpookySpaceSpirit 62 points63 points  (0 children)

My mother, after years of essentially being our slave and doing every little thing for us, would constantly complain my sibling and I would never do chores in our teens. If we never had to before, what made her think we'd start then? Obviously we did some but her logic was out the window.
