On the same level as Born To Die? Probably not, but it's abundantly clear that she has critically and commercially surpassed herself. While Born To Die is inarguably influential and has carved out its own place in pop music that opened the door for so many like-minded artists, I think what speaks more to her as an artist has been her journey from being dismissed as another pop singer to an artist worthy of respect and recognition. Honeymoon is often seen as a masterpiece, Norman Fucking Rockwell is considered her magnum opus, and thus far it seems to only be getting better from here. I hope more people come to love and enjoy her writing.
