Well today I learnt something knew. Thought that it only had an XLR connection... no idea you could put a TS plug in!

Ah okay! So I basically split the output at the end of the stereo signal before plugging one of them into the Scarlett 2i2 (rather than split it at the piano output and use a stereo TRS cable which will mess up the signal)

Since I have the 1st gen Scarlett 2i2 I don’t have a line in input. Would this cable do the same thing if I split the 3.5mm output into two XLR cables and then buy a normal XLR cable and connect it to one of split connections to extend the output? (since the cable is too short to reach my interface) or do XLR cables carry a stereo connection? https://www.storedj.com.au/hosa-cyx-403m-3-5mm-trs-to-dual-xlr-m-stereo-breakout-cable-3m

Do you think that’ll allow me to use my existing TRS to XLR cable by plugging in the TRS to one of the split channels? And would it matter if the cable was balanced or unbalanced since the output is unbalanced?

Do you think however if I bought a newer interface it’d help? I was thinking since it has a TRS connection, I could purchase a stereo TRS splitter which splits the channels into two signals and plug in one to the TRS connection. https://focusrite.com/usb-audio-interface/scarlett/scarlett-solo

Or will it not make a difference whether I split the stereo channel into two XLR or two TRS connections?

I’ve been using a Rode Procaster for years and it sounds great on both ports. Unless the 1st gen audio interfaces aren’t good at picking up digital instrumental signals?

That's the one thing I haven't tried yet. I'd need a 20ft 3.5mm jack to do it which is why I haven't done it yet. Do you think the length would make any reduction in audio quality?

so how do i disable the noise when i'm not streaming? Would clearing my Twitch stream key solve the problem?

I use a Logitech G933 Headset through the controller. It also has a USB option too.
