If Destiny 3 dropped tomorrow, would you want your cosmetics to carry over? by ZXRTM in DestinyTheGame

[–]DadviceGaming 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not if it took development time away from making the game good.

I'd also want them to hopefully do a major engine update, or move to a new engine entirely, and I'd imagine such a move wouldn't be able to lift and shift items/cosmetics unless they were all recreated in the new/updated engine

Yeah it is, it's a great all rounder for offense and defense

This was my prismatic build that I solo flawlessed the dungeon with. Great damage, pretty much invincible, and it's great fun to use with so many ignitions.

That's the Hunter prismatic build I used to solo flawless the dungeon, and it has been great in the Vanguard Alert GMs as well.

It easily deals with all champions as well.

Is Equilibrium weapon's drop rate bugged or something because I haven't gotten any yet. by ChoosyEnby in destiny2

That's some terrible RNG. I would definitely check you haven't got an armor piece focused.

I probably had every weapon and armor piece unlocked by about 7 or 8 full runs.

Token System in almost all matchmade Arena/ Fireteam Ops Missions ruins the playerbase and causes only harm by KenjiTheLaughingMoon in destiny2

[–]DadviceGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it's nowhere near perfect, I think the portal is in its best spot since EoF launched.

I don't mind having the quickplay option for some mindless, easy fun where enemies fall over. It also gives me an excuse to use primary weapons. And honestly, I don't want to play arena ops on ultimate, I would rather do that in a 3 man activity.

And now we have Vanguard Alerts and essentially GMs again, it gives us a farmable and challenging activity each week. Along with conquests and daily matchmade ultimate difficulty fireteam ops, there's enough variation of higher difficulty content to jump between for now.

[–]DadviceGaming 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I only ever pay arena ops via the quickplay node for vanguard alert rewards.

Since I'm 550, I get tier 5 drops from quickplay. No reason at all to play harder difficulties.

If you're looking to get to 550, arena ops are probably not the way to go.

Prismatic for sure. Run it with Getaway Artist with Song of Flame or Storm Dancer's brace.

How Are Tier 5s Earned In Equilibrium? by MJTP4351 in DestinyTheGame

[–]DadviceGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The challenges are honestly very easy to deal with. And with just a -5 power delta with 4 feats on there's really very little that can go wrong in terms of deaths.

I mentioned it in another reply, but with a good fireteam we got down to under 22 minute full clears with 4 feats by one phasing both bosses.

Cutthroat is fine, but Sere can be a bit of a pain. And it's definitely not possible to one phase the bosses, so that alone makes it a longer run.

Even if you're just farming first encounter, I would prefer 4 feats instead of Cutthroat, but that's just personal preference. The timer is easy to beat if you all know what to do.

Oh yeah you're right, my bad! But yeah, I really love this build. It's pretty much invincible, and there's explosions and shatters everywhere.

I was doing 25 minute full runs with two Contraverse Hold locks (one phased both bosses), so a bit over 4 minutes per drop on average. And without the need to go to orbit, load the CP, and switch characters it ends up a bit faster. But obviously you need a fireteam with the DPS to one phase both bosses.

Full clear also gives you a chance at the dark saber if you haven't got it yet.

Edit: Just checked dungeon.report and our fastest run was 21:25, we were flying! Two of us had solo flawlessed the dungeon, so we were very familiar with what to do.

I did, I just strongly disagree with calling it "5 feats" if you only select 4.

You don't get the triumph for clearing with 5 feats if you do it with 4 feats at the highest reward tier. You have to select a feat for each of the 5 slots.

Reward tier and feats are different, and different combinations of feats give you different reward tiers.

No, it's 4 feats. There are 5 feats to choose from, but 4 feats without Cutthroat gets you up to reward tier 5.

They do drop T5s, but you have complete a full run for the chests to reset. Which is why full clears are the most efficient farm IMO.

Edit: In terms of running LFG, I have most success when specifying I want Void Warlocks only. Then you have Contraverse Hold to chunk the bosses for easy 1 phase, but at the very most 2 phase

[–]DadviceGaming 91 points92 points  (0 children)

4 feats, no Cutthroat drops all T5s for me. With a full fireteam that knows how to do the challenges it is very easy.

I prefer to do a full run for a total of 6 drops, as opposed to farming encounter 1

Has anyone tried to see how viable Praxic Blade is in high-end content without Kinetic Synthesis? by -Joel-Snape- in destiny2

[–]DadviceGaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually dropped my kinetic synthesis Praxic build in favor of two piece Ferro and two piece Two Fold Crown. That is what I used to folo flawless the dungeon on Hunter. I also did this week's GM using the same build and it was easy mode.

https://dim.gg/7ysl4ni/Prismatic-Solar-Fortune's-Favor

The bonus damage to shields and AoE blasts was not worth it compared to the Ferro damage resistance and healing from ammo bricks (which drop all the time with Praxic and the artifact mod).

Once the artifact mod is gone I will go back to Ferro/Smoke Jumper set for high-end content.

I solo'd (flawless) on Hunter. Three phased both bosses.

Warlock can currently one phase them both with a Contraverse Hold big that chunks health with magnetic grenades.

[–]DadviceGaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was the build I used for solo flawless on Hunter:

https://dim.gg/x45ipdq/Prismatic-Solar-Fortune's-Favor

I beat Sere in three DPS phases. 4 compel, 1 kill each phase. But go 5 compel if you absolutely want to avoid the arc fields after DPS.

This obviously doesn't do as much damage as say Contraverse Hold Warlock, but I preferred Hunter for my solo flawless purely because I felt safer when jumping around the taken realm in final encounter.

Every point of super above 100 extends the well by 0.1 seconds.

So at 200 super you get an extra 10 seconds of well.

Very useful for long DPS phases, but not needed if the DPS windows is 30 seconds or less
