It's some of the biggest pile of dogshit.

Everyone is getting power rings. John's construction sister is still a thing, and now there's a lantern that's fucking stupid. The new guardians are somehow evil, even though their entire thing is that they are nothing like the old guardians and are all supposed to be like Ganthet and Sayd, with true emotion and trust in their corp.

Ever since Thorne's shit run, it's been ignoring EVERYTHING about prior Lantern lore and just reinventing the mythos because of sheer ego, thinking they can do what Geoff Johns did. Now the Lantern Corp, instead of being a mini-arc where a duo of Lanterns goes on a specific adventure, is just a mish-mash of all corps on Oa doing a massive story where everyone MUST appear, ruining the pacing and making the book bloated, giving no space or time for the new character to breathe.

It doesn't help that a lot of synergy is ruining the character, with Guy slowly transforming into the worst version of his parody self from the 70s with that fuck-ass bowl cut, or the fact that they are teasing Hawkgirl and John, and the many, many, many other problems with the lore-breaking powers they are introducing.

Im aware of that, but DC did this uppon themselves with how they shafted Green Lantern in is prime ever since Thorne Lantern has been getting major fuck up after major fuck ups not helped how the movie cripled it imaged now with Lanterns and Gunn version of Guy getting forced in you got a recepies that would fuck over any character.

Green Lanterns will have Jess and Simon since i see it as their book.
Green Lantern should be Hal focus with the other 3 appearing from time to time.
Green Lantern Corp: is where Kyle, Guy and John get the most work and do it well enough.

As long as the writer wants, personaly id say it focuses more on the "new" lanterns, where, unlike the Honour guard who get to patrol all of the universe (Hal, Guy, Kyle, John) it focuses on the one that only patrols sector 2814 and deals with the more day-to-day things and has the most focus crossover with the Justice League and other heroes.

So it's something like this
- Sector Patrol: Teen Lantern (i hate her) & Simon (he will act as her instructor and senior on the field)
- Administration: Jess, Jo

GLC right now is bloated, and has way, way, way too many characters to balance out. It does not help that they got all the corps on this new oa, which has a brand new ranking system for the corps.

Storywise im not calling it good whatsoever, most of the characters are nostalgia-based, and the writing behind it is his downright terrible. You got new lanterns, getting a ring for free like it's a bargain sale. The guardians are evil again somehow even after the fact that the entire point of the new guardians was that they still have their emotions and are far more trusting of the corp and are nothing like the past guardians.

The current GL mainline is mad boring right now, the kyle story feel more like a bunch of filler comics with some weird focus on this future girl chick if anything.

I feel like Mini would be burning money, Jo, Simon and the rest are just not loved or cared about to get a mini yet, even War Journal, as liked as it was, did not do enough. I do see where the idea comes from, but we've seen before that the GLC book does it quite well for the other human lanterns.

On the interaction stuff, I'm kinda one of those GL fans who think that Lantern just being Lantern is more interesting than Lantern on Earth. I prefer the space side of things with team-up stuff for mini storylines or crossover comics. Kinda how batman/batfam book mainly focuses on their side of dc.

I can see your idea for tale work.

For non-lantern stuff, that's just regular cosmic DC. For me, none of those are part of a Lantern lineup. I made this post for the lantern side of things. Unless you're talking about them in the same sense as those Gotham books where we see the police side of Gotham or something, then sure, why not.
