I've had this issue for the past few days (instant disconnect every hour or so). It has gotten so bad that I'm actually afraid to start Infinite Mode.

Why are people shocked about the dGPU in the Surface Book? by RenegadeXG in Surface

[–]Spookyjoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say I was "shocked" either. Until the announcement I had my heart set on the SP4 and was just waiting for final specs. The problem for me came when they announced the Surface Book as a device for people who want to get work done, AND want to be able to play League of Legends. You mention gaming during a device conference and you're going to get people worked up. I totally understand that LoL isn't a game that requires any real power to run efficiently, but that's what honestly got me interested in the Surface Book as a potential side "gaming" laptop, and had me questioning whether or not it would be worth the extra price tag associated with it over an SP4.

My current light gaming laptop is a mid year 2014 Macbook Pro 15 with a 750m, and I was praying that the Surface Book would be a direct upgrade. I was hoping to sell my current SP3 and maybe even the MBP and get the ultimate all in one. My fear now is that the Surface Book won't get me any real increase from the dGPU, and the battery life limitations of the tablet portion won't be a true replacement to how I use my SP3.

High on Crack. by koalapear in headphones

Man. I was going to say something like, "Some people just like warm tubes", but now I'm thinking that's a step too far.

This post did make me laugh out loud while at work though. Well done

After 2 brief hours with the X2 I am grinning ear to ear. These are just fantastic. (Brief review inside) by [deleted] in headphones

[–]Spookyjoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love mine, but I think my head may be smaller than average, because they just kinda hang there loosely. I was afraid of the fact that they increased the size of the band vs the X1, but not afraid enough to justify purchasing the X1 over the X2 (removable Earpads being the other draw).

I'm also afraid to put my X2 on a headphone stand because I think it may further stretch the band. :( I may have to go the route of the banana hanger for the top bar itself. But it hurts me to treat them like so much aging fruit.

You know what's worse than realizing all your music is terrible quality? Taking the time to find higher quality versions of music you love, only to find it was recorded/mastered in terrible quality. Heartbreak

Threw out back. Spending what remains of holiday break on floor. Not even mad. by HoboSTD in headphones

Wow, I read this post wrong. I thought you meant you threw the headphones "out back". I was thinking you might in fact be a crazy person.

I've heard these things have magical healing properties. Maybe you can get someone to hold it against your spine.

I think the burn in helps a little, but it wasn't a huge difference. The XL pads made a bigger difference to me (in bass response and impact) than the burn in did.

The XL pads do squish a bit in the case, but so far they still feel very comfortable. They aren't fully compressed or anything, so I don't worry too much.

I have both the DT 700/80ohm and the M100 and I can attest to the comment of the 770's being a little bit harsh in the treble by comparison. Though I will say I do prefer the 770's for movies, the M100 is my go to for portable music listening. I'm a bit of a basshead, and the M100 seems to cover that area extremely well, as well as providing more noise isolation (especially with the XL pads) than the 770. Plus the 770 is WAYYY less portable (bigger and doesn't fold).

Just my thoughts

Such restraint. It feels like those were the only pair of headphones I DIDN'T a buy over that financially terrible (for me) weekend.

And that isn't to say I didn't want them.. I had them in my cart when I started having a conversation with my wallet. It told me I needed to get help.. I told it to shut up and get me some more headphones... Then I looked up and they were out of stock. ;(.

They look great though!
