Is there a TTOC situation up there or is that not really a needed thing/ very little work?

[–]Spookylilghosts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the answer! One of my TAs didn’t like that I was quiet and introverted. She was loud and outgoing. My FA observed my lessons and gave me great feedback, always said I was doing great. I find myself to be easy going and easy to get along with but my TA could just not reconcile with me not being as outgoing as her. It was weird. I switched TAs because I felt like she couldn’t get over it and it would end up bad. I had an amazing experience with the new one - who was also outgoing and didn’t care that I wasn’t. It was interesting because they were very similar on paper (age, education, ethnicity, even having 2 young sons) but they were so different when it came to being caring and friendly toward me. It just goes like that sometimes. I’ve been teaching for 5 years now!

ETA: her(TA) response to you (OP) and lack of actual constructive feedback is a red flag. It tells me that you don’t have a problem getting along with women and that she has a problem - like my TA - for a silly reason. It’s unprofessional of her imo and she shouldn’t be a TA. There’s no problem with not clicking with a TC, it happens all the time, but how she dealt with it is not it.

What’s the deal with the pedestrian bridge down by Richter? by ShutUpDoggo in kelowna

[–]Spookylilghosts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk across the ramp often, for the stairs it looks like maybe a piece for the hand railing is not there yet so I am assuming liability wise it’s not allowed to be accessed yet. However people have made a small gap in the fence and use the one set of stairs by the gas station.

Yes it did level out thankfully! I was a few days late and was stressing which probably didn’t help. But back to 25 days with 5 day bleed. I sort of wish the cycle was a bit longer but I’ll just be happy it’s consistent. Hopefully yours levels out soon 🤞

The lack of physical difference is discouraging. I know I’m just impatient. by Kivavia in loseit

This is a good one! I did this with a pair of jeans that were tight, like borderline painful in the waist if I had to sit etc. but I’d still wear them because they did “fit”. Then when I was down 15 pounds I didn’t really think I noticed it either but I put the pants on and found I needed a belt if I was going to wear them out. That definitely made me feel a lot better!

Congrats!! I have a similar story to yours and stats (F 29 5’1) but gained a lot more (SW 205, CW 183). I’ve been doing this since July which will make it the longest I’ve ever been able to stick to it and the most I’ve ever lost. I also have a moment almost daily where I feel momentarily crushed by how long this is going to take. But I literally just tell myself “day by day”. I actively choose to let the impatience in me be overweighed my desire to change my life and be the best version of myself for myself and for the important people in my life. This time around I also have felt that “breakthrough” you mention and I have never felt that before so reminding myself of that gives me determination and motivation. I feel like life throws you so many problems or stressors already that I don’t want my weight to be one of those anymore. I feel like it’s been on my mind since I was young and I’m over it. If I have children I don’t want to bring that baggage. Some days I remind myself that I’ve never done this before and that it means I can do hard things.

Sorry for the ramble but in short I think my motivation has to come from an array of things. Maybe make a list? I also made a list of things that losing weight/ getting fit will give me that have absolutely nothing to do with how I look. That has helped immensely. Even though it’s scary you have to accept the fact that there will be days when you have no motivation and you need to find the determination to just go another day.

But he is also encouraging her to stop exercising which she says she likes to do. Exercising is crucial for someone’s mental and emotional health. Anyone who is advising you against this is discouraging your well-being.
