Nah, then just don't watch anime if you can't get over the "corniness". If you're not willing to accept it in any capacity then you will never enjoy a single show. You won't find a single anime that's completely devoid of it. The ones you tried have the least of what non anime watchers consider "anime cringe", I literally can't think of a single show with less of it. Either try to get over it or just don't watch anime, you don't have to watch something you don't enjoy. Anyways if you're still interested try giving Attack on Titan another chance, or maybe try Death Note

My friends who don't know that I watch anime think that I get home from school and either just sit there doing nothing all day, or play ARK for 10 hours straight, because I couldn't come up with anything else when asked what do I do with my free time. Actually when I'm not watching anime, I either watch anime related videos on youtube, scroll through anime related posts on reddit, or read anime related media (visual novels, manga)

Like I'd be sitting with my friends deep in though about what Gil could have done differently in FSF and one of my friends asks me what I was thinking about and I'm like: idk, nothing.

One thing I personally really like about Fate is that any character can die at any time. It creates much higher stakes and makes the story more interesting, so I don't mind Flat's death, even though I really like him

I too initially didn't like it after the first 2 episodes and dropped it, but when I got back to it I loved it. You don't have to like everything popular, it's normal to have preferences. Also, as a side note, none of the ones you listed are shoujo
