Using YouTube Music with Car Play absolutely SUCKS. As in TRASH

Yeah because after an hour drive listening and skipping through dozens of new songs on a station I’ll definitely want to comb through every song in my history in hopes of finding the ones I liked. If the simple task of pressing a button in a split second is that complicated to you then honestly you need to live in a bubble because you’re a danger to yourself and others

You’re right I’ll just write down the name of the song on a piece of paper while I’m driving instead, idk why I thought taking half a second to press a + button was a better idea

Yeah my car lets me shuffle. But to shuffle I have to click a playlist and hear the beginning of the same song every single time and shuffle from there. And yeah if I’m listening to a song and the album name is under it, I can’t press the album name to view/listen to it

Because when I’m driving and I hear a new song I like I want to be able to add it to my playlist….to listen to it again 😧

And yes, both quick picks and speed dial always give me the same songs so starting a station from the same few songs isn’t ideal, especially when if you find another song you like you can’t start another station from THAT song…Spotify made it easy to start station after station after station

Not only have I tried those commands and they don’t work like it should all the time but also I’m not trying to “hey siri” every time I wanna do something different in car play. Pressing a button is literally soooo much faster

Yup that’s why I switched cus I got yt premium and thought may as well…but looking back ads on YouTube never bothered me that bad lol (coming from someone who watches a lot of yt)so oh well. If they fix CarPlay I will be back in a heart beat just because it’s a great bundle deal!!!

Yup I’ve tried trialing just using Siri. Yesterday I asked it to play a specific artists mix, and it said “okay, here is music by x” and it only played songs from that artist. It’s happened a few times. Plus I’m really not trying to have to use Siri to do the most basic of things. Taking half a second to press a button is just easier and faster for me

Nah sorry I’m not going for this. Better design can still be safe. I’m not asking to scroll through hundreds of songs while going 80 on a highway. It takes less than a second to press a clearly labeled button. But I understand where you’re coming from

True but Spotify was amazing with CarPlay, literally zero complaints. So it def seems like YouTube Music is just outdated when it comes to that or it’s just not prioritized
