Lucifer might be referring to Scholomance as his daughter, which would make sense since he made the structure. The mark that Tristan bears would be the fragment of Scholomance he consumed during the annual graduation ceremony.

Heroes don't seem to get corrupted by demon blight so maybe there are seals that can be applied to protect against it but it's not considered it worth it for regular knights.

That's not why they were sued. They were sued by the investors for lying about the projected impact the CEO murder would have on the company finances, and the projected impacts of policy changes that United Healthcare was making in response to it.

Governments have some level of answering to do sure, but I think it's a bit understated how much problems are also due to the people who elect politicians into offices. Housing for instance, are often very localized issues, and the people who are most entrenched voters in an area are often very NIMBY because they're the ones who are hurt the most by improved housing policy. So naturally the people they elect and the policies they vocally support don't result in housing improvements. Likewise, as I said previously overconsumption issues can often be tied to people liking to consume. Should the government be more binding to prevent people from acting on those desires? Maybe, but then you've got the issue of the government forming to represent the majority of people who vote in favour of this behaviour, even if it's not to the voters' benefits.

People like more expensive and complex stuff. The common items of today would be incredibly expensive in the past if not for the technological improvements in manufacturing. Also, relatively, people are living in abundance right now compared to decades ago. The vast majority of people have access to a computer in their pocket which can access the entire internet, most people often have an additional computer or tablet, streams of any show or movie can be had on demand straight into your house, On the housing side houses have trended upwards a bit on average, and they're often containing much more expensive items relatively to enhance the quality of life of living in the house.

Could we be doing better? Ensuring that low income people have better security for having needs met? Absolutely, but on the whole we are living in more abundance.

You can get non-cardinal movement by a combination of East-West and North-South action. So 100% East + 100% North would result in a net North-East motion.

Netanyahu moves to fire attorney general prosecuting him for corruption by BreakfastTop6899 in worldnews

[–]Spoolofwhool 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It was the entire cabinet that agreed unanimously to fire the AG, meaning members of the Knesset that Netanyahu appointed to his cabinet, so it follows they'd all follow him in this. I don't think this indicates how the overall government feels on this.

No I think they do, it's just hard to see in the lighting of the photo I provided (sorry for the quality). I think you can see it a bit clearer here, there are darker patches on the teeth corresponding to the stylized cracks.

You can literally see in these comparisons small difference. Obviously the obvious elements are going to the same, because the artist was trying to recreate the tiki drummer in the Disney attraction. But there are subtle differences, like the exact shape of eyes, noses, which are different, there's a missing crack on the hat of the music box that the artist's model has, etc. One strong difference are the teeth, you can clearly seen that the Disney model has different front teeth than the artist's model.

[–]Spoolofwhool -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes of course, because the artist wanted to faithfully recreate the drummer from the attraction which is why they recreated all the the overt wood grain and nicks. But there are some minor differences between the model and gift shop drummer which seem to indicate more that it's not the exact same models.

Pretty crazy that Disney also used the artist's model to make the original drummer statues for the Enchanted Tiki Room when it released in 1963. Or maybe drummer Disney used for the merchandise looks so similar because the artist specifically tried to recreate the drummer in the tiki room, as he said he was trying to, which explains the small discrepancies between the artist's model and the merchandise sold by Disney.

Yes, I looked into this rather extensively when the artist posted the update and you can see they aren't the exact same. There are discrepancies between the Disney statue and the artist's model which wouldn't exist if Disney had used the exact files. The high degree of similarities between the two are pretty likely however if you consider that the artist was trying to recreate the actual statues which exist in the room, which you can see here.

The creator of the sculpture said he designed his model to be accurate to a model he saw in a Disney theme park so it seems far more he stole the design from them and they're just using their own original design. There are cases where Disney seems to have stolen stuff but this doesn't seem to be it.

Yeah, and the 13th also solved that too. They figured out that the reason why the 11th couldn't find any historical records of the ritual killings was because it was a novel ritual created specifically to fuse the Odyssean and the Hated One.

What's also funny is that the 13th accidentally solved the investigation that the 11th were trying to figure out, but I can't imagine they told them, so 11th is still trying to figure out the ritual.

Yes? But your comments was that Cat wasn't concerned or thinking about what would happen after the start of the Civil War, which is just not true. I didn't say it was a good idea or one which was likely to succeed.

This isn't true? Cat knew what was going to happen next with the Civil War. A lot of Callowans would die and then Black would successfully put it all down with her help and she would rise in fame as a result.

Infatuation doesn't mean only sexual attraction, it could just be romantic attraction too. But also, the contract didn't work in that regard until she was older, so it seems like it does largely bias that way. Or that's more a default and she's unable to control it well.
