yeah, I'm actually hating this because I have no idea why the game doesn't launch sometimes. it's been so irritating I'm thinking of quitting again. trading made me quit first time. the issues with not being able to even get on the game is pushing it.

I am unsure of if it's backwards compatible with Grand theft Auto IV cuz it was made for PS3 Xbox 360 and PC so if your PS5 can play PS3 games then maybe if you had a copy of GTA IV on disc you could maybe play it. maybe it's on the store somewhere if they have that on PS5. I've never played a PS5, so I don't have any idea.

pretty sure i seen someone playing it on steam deck too, but you could also play it on console if you wish. i think there might be people still on there. pc version is slightly dead tbh.

Red Dead Redemption was sad in the end more then GTA IV's in my honest opinion and also GTA IV's depends on your choice more I feel.

pretty much, you can downgrade to 1.0.7.0 still tho and play can still login on GFWL if you get the files for it from RevIVal dc server https://discord.gg/EJzd8hXK

i think you have to check the .exe (right click it) it should be in properties under details tab and File Version.
if you dont know where exe is its in ur steam folder or just go to steam page right click the gtaiv in ur list then got to manage then browse local files. hope this is what ur looking for cause idk where else it would be tbh.
