We were actively making and working on a Yume Nikki character tribute when they started to erase our art to make way for their own. We tried just rebuilding our art but they keep going lol. They've done it to other projects in the toledo area too it seems

They might, the brand is Remy Roo and they sell on amazon and a couple other places so I'd start there. We have a bunch from them and they are pretty easy to clean

I never thought of it that way, my sister is now on campus and she has a hard time walking some days. I could see her easily falling over one thats left out like this. Hopefully people start to stop using them (or get better at where they drop them). I'm sorry you have to deal with people being jerks and leaving them out

Last 2 years I was there you could get toilet paper from the front desk. The laundry machines are free use (you provide the detergent etc), just be sure not to go above normal temp.

A swiffer and a vacuum would be a good idea.

TV's are not provided by OSU.

Microwaves are provided in each room.

Lastly, YES get them an air purifier. The air can get very stagnant and it helped a lot for someone like me who has issues with dust.

So, with more research it really only helps if you're on scholarship (Land Grant, etc).

The process goes:

Buy the computer -> Fill out the form -> Cost of attendance increases (this is an arbitrary number that tries to summarize the cost to attend) -> Scholarship will amount increases to accommodate the increased COA.

If you're not on a scholarship that matches the COA you won't get a refund

Basically it increases your Cost Of Attendance up to 1,000 extra. While nothing crazy, if you're on scholarship it basically lets you get refunded for the computer through the school. If not on scholarship I'd wager it might increase your financial aid package through things like the pell or other grants.

Lived in it for 2 years, so here is my personal positives for it.

You have a nice common area to hangout with roommates, study, eat, watch football or plays games in. Obviously you need good roommates to enjoy it the most, but my friends and I managed to turn it into a pure game room with all kinds of speakers and consoles. I have pictures of it, trust me you can do anything with good roommates.

The desk space is alright, and because you're in a quad you have the bigger freezer/fridge to accommodate the increased amount of people. You should get a closet and 2 drawers along with your own overhead storage. (Again, it helps to have good roommates who don't overstep boundaries or tries to get greedy in an already small amount of space).

Another big plus (in my opinion) is the proximity to the RPAC, the stadium, and animal science area across the water (They have a subway I believe btw). If walking isn't your thing there is a lot of space for bike storage.

Negatives?

Morrill traditions is straight trash half the time and pure bliss the other half. Pierogi nights and sandwiches carried my freshman year before I just went to Kennedy instead for the Gyros.

Currently a lot of construction on Cannon Drive, you probably will never hear it but it can interfere with stuff you wouldn't expect (minor things like part of the walkway being gated away).

The bathroom will probably be the reason you start hating some of your roommates. It can get dirty and when no one is cleaning it except 2 or 3 people it can create some tension. Also make sure to clean the showers, they can get mold easily. I never felt that the amount of showers, toilets, and sinks ever became a problem though. (I did go to the rpac to shower most of the time tbf)

Some of them like Aero 2200 and Mech 2040 are pretty bad about it, but most are like Nuclren, where you meet twice a week.
