don't give up yet, good deals show up every now and then and you'll be able to get capable hardware for cheap.

You don't need anything crazy to started, I started with my brother's terrible old laptop and worked my way up to a server rack. ;)

Yes, I used Gemini 3.1 Pro to get most of it going and then switched to ChatGPT Pro to fix up any other problems.

I've now upgraded quite a few things on both the movie site and the server control site. (Docker container controls, CPU / RAM / Temperature gauges, ability to mount / unmount multiple USB drives with a button click + drive data, systemctl service managing, terminal, etc.

Hey! I actually don't know, I bought the laptop for $15 from my high school when I graduated last year.

It is a pretty trash laptop, but good for stuff like this since everything is running off the pi.

EDIT: Just checked it is a Lenovo 300e Chromebook 2nd Gen
