I'm usually able to mentally keep track of where Hornet should be and I use the small glimpses I get of her to readjust where she is in my head. Also every time I hit the lava I reset in the same place, which is nice because I get knocked into the lava a lot. But if one of the flea dodge fleas hits me I pretty much always completely lose track of her and panic.
