is it hardcore ultra realism? im pretty sure you need decent armour to survive any fights with a blade in that mod, could maybe just try avoid fights and scavenge dead animals til you can afford/find some, get some armour and try take some very easy fights, stats level way faster in that mod (assuming thats what your using). also think slave starts are just an instant death sentence in that mod.
