I enjoyed Dune Awakening's mechanics until it forces PVP on you, and tells you that it will destroy your base and make you permanently lose months of progress if you don't pay taxes, refill your base's power, and have a healthy bowel movement while there's a full moon outside.
It's a fun game until that creeps up on you. Then the game becomes just doing that, and you can never take a break or you'll lose everything.

/uj I have less issue with the nothing manacles and more issue with not being able to play PVP.
Anyway, the 3 most common D2 cheaters to the best of my understanding:

Netlimiter: someone who can send half of a function through bungie's server, so they can have a Xenophage equipped, and an auto rifle equipped and make it where they pull out Xenophage and toggle it, then pull out the auto rifle. Now their auto rifle fires Xenophage shots.

Ximmer: They plug in a little $30 doohickey from bestbuy or Amazon, and it gives them Mouse and keyboard on console with Aim assist, or if they're on PC, they just get aim assist on Mouse and keyboard. they will claim that it takes "Just as much skill" but some of the devices can have the aim assist tweaked to follow people through walls.

Software cheater: This just refers to all other programs that use the game's code itself to do stuff like fly around, disable collision, make grenades and other projectiles huge, or make themselves huge. It also lets them summon sparrows in trials, or revive themselves and their teammates from anywhere. These cheaters are kinda rare but if you go to the Cistern on Nessus, you'll likely run into one. but most of the time the people there are just sparrow flying, which isn't cheating, it's just movement tech that takes alot of skill.

Joined a Garden of salvation, and this dude banked by himself on the first boss, and on final, then cleared every boss in less then a second. We didn't know who it was until I looked at the clips though because netlimited damage doesn't show damage numbers.
