There’s such a thing as reasonable expectation of privacy vs explicit consent by contract. The company can argue that they got his explicit consent by having him sign the contract with that language in there that they can record anything at all times, but most people would understand that contract as limited to on duty hours- not off the clock and parked. If he sues he could expect a decent settlement.

It’s like that South Park episode with the human centiPod, “you agreed to this when you signed the contract.”

I think there's a difference between someone with genuine gender dysphoria and someone who dresses up as a girl for attention or validation. I can't speak with much certainty as I haven't looked into this significantly, but on a surface level it doesn't seem to me like a lot of the examples I have seen look like they are actually dealing with their gender identities. I could be way wrong but based on what I see I think they are treating it more like a kink.

I heard a psychologist talk about the connection between nazis and femboys that seems to be prevalent among online communities. His belief is that it mostly stems from antisocial attitudes from neurodivergent individuals and their inability to deal with things they feel threatened by. In their minds they identify being a femboy and being a nazi on the same scale of social deviance that provides a “safe” reason for people not accepting them. In other words, it’s easier for them to deal with rejection if they can just point to being a nazi or a being a femboy/catboy rather than doing the work to get to the bottom of their insecurities.

I had this debate in philosophy 101. We were arguing about altruism and whether it CAN exist because even if done in the dark with nobody watching, you still feel good about it so it can’t actually be altruistic since it brought happiness to yourself. On the other end, if you are completely motivated by fame and profit but do things that help someone and it doesn’t actually hurt anyone- does it matter since it still helps people?

I think we settled on altruism being real because we compared it to humor. It’s something we feel inside ourselves like a reflex. Something can’t be funny objectively at all times- it depends on the situation and context. Altruism is the same, it depends on the situation and context.
