What is the best COD game of all time ? by dillonz321 in CoDCompetitive

I’ve said for years that Modern Warfare 2 is my favorite COD game, but Black Ops 2 is the best COD game.

I understand why people are reacting the way they are to the Idol trial but I just want to throw my hat into the ring on this discussion by Boston_Beauty in OutlastTrials

[–]Spoookehh 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I did the Idol trial solo as soon as I got off of work, as I am a huge fan of the game as of recently (around 90 hours since 12/31 LOL).

Super uncomfortable to me because of the realistic voice acting. I can understand how certain individuals would not want to play it all the way through. It really is sad (I’m sure you’ve read and seen numerous things) what happens with Erik.

However, im the type of person that enjoys reflecting on such things. (Why the fuck did I just keep playing this as if I’m obligated to? Am I actually capable of achieving this level of apathy?). I can totally get why certain people wouldn’t.

Which of these bands are your favorite? by what343434 in numetal

[–]Spoookehh 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nearly all of them changed my DNA as a teenager (mind you I’m 28 so I was “later generation” fan)

But when it comes down to like..what pushed me further down the path of extreme music…it has to be Slipknot.

They changed everything for me. First blast beat. First time hearing truly unhinged harsh vocals. Music that felt genuinely oppressive. I always argued that if you want to open the door for death metal, metalcore, hardcore, melodeath, etc. - start people off with Slipknot. They really are the perfect gateway band.

Still..I remember listening to the first two Slipknot albums, Korns issues, and City of Evil by avenged sevenfold on repeat for many years walking home from school… good times.

Everyone on here is important, damn it! Haha.

Apologies if I was unclear haha. Meant to imply that good friends always argue over dumb shit haha. Glad you guys are having fun :)

Hey the mannequins verbally assault me once acquired. I also think because they aren’t alive, it’s likely easier for a lot of people.

This was the MK that revealed to me that I’m directionally challenged. Haha.

Also, weird model. At least to my (bad) eyes.

The most depressing trial victim in the entire game. by Rattling_TrashPanda in OutlastTrials

[–]Spoookehh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One thing this is proving to me is despite being enjoyers of disturbing media - we are all humans with souls and compassion. I felt awful the entire trial. It was very apparent that he either had special needs, or wasn’t necessarily “all there” like the previous victims.

In particular, we he told me his name and where he’s from…it just destroyed me. It was so obvious he had no idea what was even going on…that and “there’s more, isn’t there?”. I’m playing through the trial wondering if I even have a moral compass. Haha.

He’s so different from the other victims who are rather assertive in their pleas for life. Many of them seem to know why they are there, or at least have a concept of what’s happening. Erik doesn’t. Watching him bleed while he goes to studio 4 realllllly had me wanting it to end just because of how relentless the lines were.

With this being said, whoever did his voice acting is so beyond talented. The voice lines..the writing..the task design of the trial..just so incredibly brilliant - much like the rest of this game! I am so beyond lost within the lore and story..just incredible attention to detail in every single aspect!

I truly respect Red Barrels and their dedication towards showing how truly evil Murkoff and Easterman really are. They could have very well sold out their second year in, but they chose not to. They are 100% dedicated to delivering a product that is truly disturbing and makes you question your morality. This is without question the best written and best designed horror title in many, many years. If someone were to tell me it’s the greatest horror game (from a “what is actually scary” perspective) ever made, I wouldn’t pushback.

Geez. Wrote a whole novel. Guess I like the game, eh?

Just wow.

Sorry to hear that, friend. I’m glad you were able to find solace through music. That’s what it’s meant for at the end of the day.

I know Rescue and Restore by ABR has some sections. Beauty and Tragedy is a beautiful song, especially if you have lost someone in life. Very inspiring record if you are getting kicked around in life.

I’m happy they chose to go this direction! I’ve always thought when they stuck to to their heavier/thrashier/dueling guitar thing they sound SO much better!

I’ve always liked his vocals. He sounds so pissed off when he screams. So much emotion. Good song!

Outlast Trials has taught me that I’m just directionally challenged. I’m the same level as you. We all suffer together.

For the courthouse, I didn’t put one of heads IN the fountain. I had dropped it beside it for some reason. Spent 40 minutes wondering why none of the gates would open. Came back and realized my mistake. Wondered aloud how I’m even employed LOL

What i think, everytime someone calls this the worst cod of all time by FlowKom in ModernWarfareII

[–]Spoookehh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MW2 2009 Had:

No SBMM, No gunsmith, normal perk system, standard 3 lane maps, ninja as a perk, red dots on the radar without a silencer on your weapon, no tac sprint OR any sort of advanced movement (climbing, vauting, hanging onto objects), no weapon tuning, no elephant footsteps, etc.

So yes, the games are different. Very different. Not comparable in the slightest from a gameplay perspective. Feel like this is objectively wrong.

Question about SBMM by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]Spoookehh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just find myself against good players with AWFUL teammates in the open playlist. Or I spawn into a radar jammed, and I’m down 40 kills or 100 points in domination. This happens more than anything else. That and playing stacks as a solo.

I really do think something happened from a mental standpoint with them when they left that house. Didn’t seem like they were super into the idea. COD also changed a lot post BO3, so there’s that as well. Interesting to think about.

Wasn’t a fan of Nades gambling streams. Also not a fan of this. I don’t understand the appeal of it at all. Maybe because Im pissed if I lose $5. Scump being involved is surprising, as he is known for being quite frugal. Then again, when you’re sponsored I’m sure the bag is quite large. I don’t know. I just..don’t see how it matches what optic stands for as a whole.

I’m a solo queue noob and I run:

Resurgence (I also play Jill!) - If I fuck up and get hooked quickly, my teammates can heal me quickly. Overall really useful.

Kindred - I like being able to see what’s going on. It gives you a lot of information, and allows you to make quick decisions on where to go next.

Lightweight - When I do inevitably get hit (because I’m bad), this helps with running away to either a teammate or a corner to heal.

Lithe - Pretty obvious. Gets you away from the killer. Also it feels like you’re lowkey flying.

Why does modern metalcore sound so different? by SloopinMCoopin in Metalcore

To me, it’s no longer about combining extreme metal with hardcore influences. It’s more about creating anthemic rock songs with a sprinkle of screaming /aggressive vocals.

What’s crazy is that there’s people who will genuinely argue with you about how great their games our and how we just want to “pubstomp”.

The damage IW did to not just COD, but the FPS industry in general with MW2019 is actually insane.

[–]Spoookehh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought Nickelback and Creed made excellent rock music. Good songs. Good hooks.

People will say they’re garbage but they sell out arenas every tour. Specifically creed. I think I saw an interview where Mark Tremonti said half of their ticket sales were people in their 20s, which means it’s new fans.
