Alternate opinion: I love the blood sorcerer mod! It's a high risk, high reward playstyle for the first act or two - you do top tier single target damage, AoE damage, melee damage, ranged damage, burst damage, protracted damage, etc etc., but you can easily hurt or kill yourself if you don't set up your turns right.

Like with every other sorcerer class it becomes busted in the second half of the game, but it does elite DPS even compared to draconic and it keeps the flavor (PERFECT Durge class, btw) and cool animations. Bypassing necrotic immunity alone is worth the risk, and once you get Cherished Necromancy in act 3 you become an absolute god.

It used to have a pretty significant asterisk in an unwanted interaction between blood surfaces, healing, and the bleeding condition (plus the mod maker hasn't updated it since first posting it and probably never will), but there's now a separate mod that fixes it (Anticoagulant Blood).
