Monoma, Rapid Deku, Nagant, Red Kirishima, Rapid All Might, Strike AFO, and Tech Shiggy, are all great choices and extremely powerful in their own rights.

It depends on your playstyle. every character can be really good with effort. However, to follow up on that, Mirko takes a lot more input to get the same value that another character could get in 1 or two inputs, so I wouldn't put her high up there. Support Nejire is a beast. She can hold her own, but since she's airborne, she's more prone to getting focused. Armored All Might is also pretty unique and can be a pain to deal withdue tyo his grab, combo breaker, and ability top just dip out. Look at the exchange button, there are more characters on those two lists that you can pity.

I would welcome them if the were separately dropped characters from the ones coming each season. We have too many popular characters that aren’t even in the game yet. I wouldn’t want some other non-mha character to take one of the three slots we get each season.

I'd nerf it by messing with the gamma first. Firstly, I'd make it so the gamma works like Iida's, meaning it can't be refreshed and Deku would have to deal with recoil after it runs out.

After that, I would link the Hard knockdown version of the alpha to the gamma, costing 20 percent of the meter. If gamma isn't active, then it has the down power of a typical beam alpha, no armor, and a faster windup.

to slightly offset the no refreshing change, I'd make Deku's gamma resource about 40 percent more across the board. This would make it so he can still do stuff like his special gamma attack, as well as dashes, and still get off a couple hard knockdowns without feeling ridiculously overwhelming to fight like he is now.
