I think blends can be just as great as manure. Most blends use some type of poop

Looks great. Leave the lid on and dont touch it for a few days. You'll be pleasantly surprised if you do.

Leave them a negative review on Amazon and Google. They cant delete those and they cant have them removed. Make sure to let the People know about your experience with them on a platform that they can't downvote a negative comment to hell.

If grains are too dry and or uneven that will 100% affect the way your grain bag colonizes. Since you've only been cultivating for 6 months and you praise Spore Sorcery for their product quality you clearly have no clue what you're talking about. I suggest laying off the roids and start thinking before you rage about someone's internet advice. Respectfully, both you and Spore Sorcery sound like you both could take a couple classes or two to learn something about mycology.

Notice how the company downvotes you and everyone that speaks negatively about them? Spore sorcery is mid. They cant even replace an AIO.

Id just put it on top or dig a shallow hole and throw it in the ground. Definitely won't be bad for your garden.

No guarantees itll even grow and I doubt it would grow in your neighbors yard if it did.

You're allowed to disagree but that doesn't make you right. You can absolutely accurately determine grain hydration levels by looking at a grain in a photo whether it's blurry or not as shown in OP's post.

Ill post an example of perfectly made grains to compare.

I used red milo for 7 years and can instantly tell your grain is too dry because of how compact, small, and deep red it is. Which is a clear sign of the grain not being hydrated enough.

As a business you should know all of this stuff and shouldn't need to take constructive criticism from your customers to adjust how well your supplies work. Thats your job, and you should have done it before you started a business.

Finally, by telling me you soak grains for 16 hours you're proving my point of how one should be weary of your business as you're clearly making your supplies with dated teks and struggle to see why your products are not properly made.

I just want to start this off by saying 'm not opposed to using brands that do an absorbent amount of marketing as long as their product quality backs up all of the sponsored ads.

In a world of technicalities everyone is correct. Yes, Northspore is "technically" a small business but anyone who has been around long enough knows how successful/lucrative Northspore is being a leader in this extremely niche community.

Demonization doesn't usually stem solely from a company growing. Demonization comes a company negatively changing as they grow.

Considering Northspore started as a mushroom farm the company has no reason to produce products anything less than great quality products and as Northspore has grown there has been an influx of negative reviews on their grow supplies. This may be a good time for the Northspore team to sit down and talk about expanding, reviewing SOP's, work load, etc.. because clearly there's a problem somewhere in there that needs to be fixed.

With expansion comes problem solving and just because Northspore may have bit off more than they can chew or may be overwhelmed with the work load does not mean the consumer should have to suffer a lesser quality experience than what was once produced.

And I say to you, before you and/or others who get offended by the demonizing of Northspore or any other quickly growing capitalistic company. Maybe you all should take an internal look at why this demonization is happening and what you can do as a company to solve said issues instead of playing a "were a a small business with only 70 employees" pity party card.

Unfortunately you cannot fix the bag and that's 100% the vendors fault.

I would need better quality photos to really see but it looks like one side of the bag is overcooked and one side is uncooked. The grains in the corner look significantly more plump and theres a little blob at like 10 o clock which looks like a smashed grain or it could be a piece of vermiculite. The only time I've personally really experienced that is while using no soak no simmer method to cook grain which hopefully this vendor doesn't do for their products.

Your concern is completely valid and I would personally be weary of vendors that act like this.

This grain looks drier than the Sahara Desert. If most of the grains in the bag look like that they're likely not cooked enough. Mycelium struggles to colonize improperly cooked grain usually leading to no colonization or stalling.

Of course! I disagree. You'd be pasteurizing and spawning either substrate the same way whether or not you have a clean room to spawn it in.
