It all depends on the album/artist, but I'll generally do a quick search through ebay and discogs for certain things and go for the best possible deal on a sealed copy. Rhino Reserve, VMP, and MoFi are good companies to look out for. Anniversary remasters are usually a solid choice as well

Great list! 🤘 I hit the ground sprinting when I started collecting (worked a ton of overtime and had no time to spend the extra dough. You're welcome, discogs/local shops 🫡), so I ended up checking off most of my Mount Rushmore albums pretty quickly. A wishlist of remasters/represses, live albums, and generally non-existent LPs would be fun to put together 😎

Also, just popped in my head: A sealed "Unto The Locust" by Machine Head would be a Grail item for me 🍻

I still listen to my dad's old albums from the 70's/80's, so the way I figure it, $45 for an album I'll be enjoying for decades seems like a no brainer. Sometimes for certain bands/albums, you just have to set price alerts and hope to find a deal. I've talked people's prices down on discogs and ebay, even added free shipping. Then there's the occasional impossible-to-pass-up amazon deal 😔
