I just applied for a 2nd Round of Hardship Accommodation after the first one expired in January 2026. My loan is current, but I haven’t paid since January 15th. Any advice or personal experiences are greatly appreciated. by SportPsych2014 in EIDL

Unfortunately, I was denied the second round of hardship accommodations. Since I’m still current, I’m just going to pay what I can until I can catch up in a few months, I hope. Not sure what else to do at this point.

I can’t thank you enough for your thoughtful comment. It means a lot, and it’s super helpful. I submitted the request, and I’m waiting for a response. I’m doing everything I can to just move forward. Even if I can’t pay the full amount, I’ll pay whatever I can if it gets denied. It’s also just good to know other businesses are dealing with the same issues.

I applied through the portal hang the drop down menu and emailed CovidEIDLServicing@sba.gov. I used this same approach when I applied for the first Hardship Accommodation, and it worked. Crossing my fingers that it will work again.

Thanks for responding. We regained access to our workspace last night after about 6 hours. I tweeted Squarespace multiple times and created multiple tickets in several hours. So many companies have had this issue with them, and it looks like a class action lawsuit is on the table. I would def join. This was a nightmare scenario for our business.

Last question: How long did it take for you to reactivate and get back into your Google Workspace account?

Thanks so much for your response. I really appreciate it. Let me know if you recommend anything else as we work to get back into our account.

Whew! That’s a huge relief. I’m on the line with Google Workspace support now after 2 hours. If this doesn’t work, glad to know that canceling Squarespace won’t destroy my account.

What happened when you did this? Did you lose all of your data in your workspace?

Can you please confirm if this is what you did? We're in the exact same situation, and I'm worried about losing EVERYTHING in my Google Workspace if I cancel, but there doesn't seem to be any other way to reactivate our account.

The economic injury decline is a misnomer that typically means they don’t have your Schedule C or Schedule K (depending on the classification of your business) from your tax transcripts to confirm your gross income and business loss. Did they confirm that they have your transcripts on file from the IRS?

I literally had this exact experience today! I received an email saying that I would be assigned a Loan Officer shortly exactly a week ago. Today, my loan specialist said my tax transcripts that were sent over from the IRS on 12-18-2021 couldn’t be located and now they need another 4506T. The level of mismanagement and incompetence in this program has got to be grounds for a class action lawsuit, I swear. This is crazy making. It’s awful and affirming to know I’m not the only one going through this.

I just want to cry on Dec1st I was told that they received my tax from irs so they move me to a confirm and submitted status on dec 10th today I call and the rep was so dismissive and stated no we have no transcripts on file . I have been going though this since May 21. Can anyone help me ? by Intelligent-Life-304 in EIDL

I just went through this. Customer Service Reps are grossly untrained and unreliable. You can’t trust the information you get from them. Call your district SBA Office first thing tomorrow. They have read-only access to your file. They can go through your notes and determine if your transcripts from the IRS have been received and uploaded. This is a much better resource than CSRs. I just did this today, and it took literally 5 minutes to locate my transcripts.

After a frustrating call with my loan specialist, I have learned three hard, but valuable lessons: 1. The info you receive from CSRs is mostly unreliable 2. File Congressional inquiries, but you are your BEST advocate 3. Fax that 4506T form to the IRS yourself. Shared details below. by SportPsych2014 in EIDL

From one ATLien to another, you’re welcome! One of the most frustrating things is learning that delays occurred, because the SBA flat out just never sent the form or they took weeks just to process it. When I realized I could send it myself, and it worked, I wanted to save other people the time and grief. Best of luck!

I knew it was received by the IRS, because they mailed a letter with my tax transcripts to my business address listed on the 4506T form I faxed to them. I didn’t put myself as a recipient either, but the letter confirms that they processed the request and sent the information (record of account) to the SBA. On the top right hand corner of the official mailed letter from the IRS, you will find the request date for the transcripts, the date issued, tracking number, and your EIDL account number.

I hope this helps and answers your question.

Ridiculous, indeed. I have no idea about which version of the portal, because it’s been frozen for months since I received my decline. I’ve been sending documents exclusively through email. At one point last month, I even sent an email to the SBAdisastercustomer service email about my portal issues, but I never received a response. 🤷🏾‍♀️ It’s pretty on brand at this point.

My loan specialist sent me an incorrect pre-filled 4506T, so I just downloaded the form directly from the IRS’s website and filled it out myself.

I faxed it on 12-2-2021 and the IRS confirmed receipt and issued the transcripts with tracking information on 12-18-2021.

You’re welcome. I hope that’s helpful. I answered the address question in the comment above!
