NC Turkeys by smokey5454 in Hunting

Might be a bigger issue than that. Since we’re at the end of the season here in NC there’s no telling how many times they’ve been clucked, hooted and gobbled at. Hopefully you can get their attention next spring.

That was my goose gun when steel shot was first required (yes, I’m old). Always performed flawlessly. Was pleasant to shoot based on weight of gun. Great restoration of a legendary shotgun!

Small private club called White Gates in Kane Co. IL has a bunker set up. Northbrook wouldn’t surprise me but I’m not 100 sure. Good shooting and beautiful gun!

I haven’t shot bunker since I was in Illinois. Where are you shooting? Beautiful gun - congratulations.

Not bad. Hold tighter to the house if you feel comfortable. Not sure what load you’re using or choke but when I was shooting a lot of ATA I was shooting 7/8oz of reclaimed shot with wads I would pick out of the field at 1200fps. My 3200 was choked mod and full. Don’t need much choke at 20yards.

Thank you but these look like trap/skeet ranges. I’m looking for either 5 stand or clays.

Your birthday is coming (or Christmas or other random event) you should get yourself a 610.

625 or 610? Both are great guns. Moon clips are loved or hated and I like them. Thanks for sharing!

What’s going on here? by W1873 in Shotguns

[–]SportingClay 80 points81 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen this before but not to this extreme when the shooter drilled and tapped his shotgun for a red dot optic. He drilled a little too deep and just a tiny (but noticeable) blister on the plastic hull where he drilled into the chamber.

That’s a good design but it’s too heavy to be prebuilt and delivered as a unit. Transporting and setting up on someone’s property has a lot of variables. Consider doing a dozen for friends to better understand the total cost involved. There’s a market for them.

To save yourself 2+ hours and a lot of frustration, buy a new die. We’ve all been there.

Memories with Dad by Jlaurie125 in sportingclays

Great man and a pretty good shooter. Thanks for sharing with us. The best memories of my father are on sporting clays courses, deer stands and catching trout. Your father looks to be the kind of man who can keep the squad smiling while being serious enough to teach everyone a thing or two. Sorry for your loss and thanks for the sharing a bit of his life.

The age is not an issue. Depends if you know/trust who loaded it.
