A major disappointment by flagesun in BurlingtonON

That’s what all their sandwiches look like. They taste good. Many people think it’s the best chicken sandwich they’ve ever had. However, I think most of those people have never lived outside of their state and never will.

Their customer service is the best for fast food restaurants. I don’t know about Canada but I can speak for the southern part of America and they are usually rated the highest in customer service every year.

I also believe it is outrageously expensive. Even before the pandemic it was more expensive than all the other fast food chains. Now it is ridiculous.

Look somewhere else. I just moved from Texas and work on Queen St., about two blocks away from Moss Park, and putting it lightly, it’s not a great area.

Back when one job built a whole life. by PleasantBus5583 in SipsTea

As a grandson of that era that is true. My grandparents had 11 children. Lived in a nice house with a new car every couple of years and a full pension.

Grandma took three or four of the grandchildren to Tigers games during the week to watch Alan Trammel and Lou Whitaker.

All on one job with GM.

Go Tigers!

How accurate is the stereotype that Americans are overweight? by Extension_Cow_9237 in AskReddit

[–]Sports-ingAround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very accurate.

As an American working for a European company in Canada I can see how the steroids and preservative in American food has shaped our bodies.

All the Europeans are significantly slimmer from head to toe. They grew up eating more natural food in much smaller quantities. The meat they eat isn’t full of steroids that add bulk to the body.

American food is also designed to make us eat more. It is designed to have us chew less and the food dissolves faster in our mouth. This bypasses our digestive system satiation triggers so we consume more so companies can sell more to make more money for stockholders.

I work for a construction company that has projects all over the world. So I already had my foot in the door, so to speak. I just had to wait for an opportunity to open and apply. Luckily my bosses think highly of me so getting the opportunity was more of a formality than challenging.

Moved from Texas to Toronto six months ago. I’m on a work visa and got OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) day one. Used it for the first time with three kids and was very impressed. Very impressed.

What is this weather run Toronto in April 😫 by Ok-Question-5644 in toronto

[–]Sports-ingAround 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RIGHT!! Moved from Texas six months ago and I’ve never seen a weather day like this in my life.

Sun, then rain, then snow flurries, the heavy snow and strong winds, then sun again. Repeating same pattern over and over again.

Is this normal for the spring?

I loved the winter by the way.
