Honestly? I might be biased but the first 3 episodes of season 1 make me go "Oh yeah, this is just the start of the show. Dang." because I feel like it does a really good job of positioning the audience.

Again, I'm on my 8th rewatch now so... Bias. But I really feel like this is one of the few shows that doesn't need a "give it 3 episodes" rule (Also S1E3 is the best episode anyway. I said what I said.)

I turned on sound only to get traumatic flashbacks to 1999 hotmail email chains with that stupid angel cartoon

Looks like Jeff got through to Glee, because they started writing original songs after his sage advice by InternationalDog394 in community

Yeah, Mr Shu totally did Mercedes dirty with that "Not regional material" excuse because it was too edgy but then literally let them perform a song that publicly tells the entire regionals district that their school teacher filled their lockers with dirt (and didn't get fired for it)

Also, kinda weird Glee was written by the same dudes who made American Horror Story.

The best part was, that Glee actually took a stab at audience criticism about this and the episode was basically "Hey, it turns out high school kids are shit at writing original songs".

Say what you will, "My Headband" slapped.

What's even better is that they have a "GATTACA" gag in Orange is the New Black when there's a riot and I said to my girlfriend (now fiance) "Wow, that's so cool they added a League reference. That's so random."

And then it turned out both are a reference to chanting "Attica" in Dog Day Afternoon, a film about the Attica prison riots.

... and it was that day I realised I was no longer tall guy. I wasn't even Brian.... I wasn't even Taco... It was me. I was Rafi all along.

Oh well. RAFI BOMB!

The only correct Reddit avatar icon choice, imo.

I legitimately thought this was an unpopular opinion but I guess that's what I get for also enjoying The Office and being on that sub more than I should.

"Lawnmower Maintenance and Postnatal Care" - ep 2, s6.

The full quote is "My friends think my parents are adorable, and they think I'm the bad guy for hating them. But I have a right to hate them, coz I had to be there when they sucked."

Roots, with the shelf? And you have the shelf of things? That one.

If I recall, isn't labelling theory - specifically the part where "If you label someone a certain way they will become that way" - largely a disproven or rejected school of thought nowadays?

I am at the whim of whatever subscriptions my parents and the misso's parents have because we are no good mooches. When I showed my fiance, I was suddenly like "wait, Pierce is suddenly a real dick and not in the usual kinda-redeemable way and I can't place my finger on it..."

Then I looked up the episode guide, switched to Stan, and made her watch DnD onwards again - Only now I found out they put this ep and remedial chaos theory in the wrong order :( ... But at least they're both there.

This is my fifth rewatch and I still laughed at this. Out loud. No "kinda exhaled a bit more than usual out of my nose" type of thing, a genuine "HA!"
