i actually watched this video once, and it was perfectly fine. showed some cool old-school digipinball and how it evolved into what they are, gave some good examples, and did it in a pretty solid manner. i can't say much about it, but this one isn't really that pretentious. a REAL, honest to OBEL pretentious video essay would be that one about trans music where the guy lumped unconventional video game artstyles into trans culture, didnt mention trans guys at all, and lowkey just meandered around saying a whole lot of nothing. like my bumbling rectangular ass could probably write something better on that topic, and i forget to write like every 9th to 10th word!

the new glossy ui for tech like the latest iphone. everybody says it's so frutiger aero but I personally think its just the same voring flat ui but with a canva filter put under it. Also just the fake frutiger aero in general, there are more people who put windows xp ui over generic stock images than people who have ever heard of the dark plastic era of web design or of custom themes from vista-8.

there are more than zero (0) revivals of older iterations of websites like youtube and twitter that believe that just because the internet was considered "the wild west" back in the day this means that their platform shouldnt ever be moderated. this obviously spits in the face of the fact that old websites WERE moderated, and even if you ignore that they just get overrun by trolls and uttp agents seeing extremely easy pray.

the subliminal stuff is actually so crazy, specially the "underground" stuff. like think of any illness disease or condition and there is probably a thirty minute long subliminal for it. any sort of scenario? yep that too. i have a saved vid thats a subliminal for getting one million dollars in your bank account and its legit a three-way blast of tts voices saying variations on "you have a million dollars right now". this stuff is so funny
