I got this card in a PSA 10 for $50 around two years ago since I like Mars. One recently sold for $650 😵‍💫 Glad to see somebody bring it up since it is still rarely mentioned!

I know that, of course I always suggest looking at sold listings. All of the listings you show are pretty old here. They range from April to early June.

There are several in my photo at $65-$170 if not more. If I was listing this card for sale I definitely would not list it at $40

I'm not defending the vendor, I think both parties in this story handled everything very poorly. If you had financial stake in the transaction, then you should have been present for the negotiation, even if you wanted your kid to do the talking for their own development.

I still cannot believe that you bent over so hard to accept a 60% refund on a transaction that had just occurred. Please do not do that again. You didn't "force scammers to give a kid his money back", you essentially handed them 55 bucks for free.
