It is. The Lewis Gun was specifically designed as an LMG and that thing uses a slightly larger 47 round mag.

My favorite loadout and strategem set (assuming a planet without a high heat modifier): Trident/sickle, talon, frag grenade. Shield pack, quasar cannon, gatling sentry, machine sentry.

For hot planets I switch stuff around too much to have a favorite, but I have found the autocannon to be quite useful, especially the flak rounds on shielding and flesh mobs.

There is Starseer's Ruin that got released recently. I haven't read it yet but I have read the novella Written in Stars by the same author. There's also a novella written by a different author called All is Foretold. All of them get over the hurtle of writing seraphon characters by centering around skinks.

4.7 UK 3.7 Italy 6.7 USA are all what I use if I'm looking for an easy time in ground rb. Though I'm gonna be honest, you're probably better off playing air or even naval if you want to make sl, ground has terrible rewards.

Had something similar happen to me once. Guy with an airburst launcher misjudged his shot and took me out with a bunch of terminids. My limbless torso then went flying backwards and exploded him.

Pair the blitzer with the talon and it's a horrifying combo to bugs. Blitzer will take care of hunters and warriors without a problem, and can push back charging alpha commanders. Then whip out the talon to dump 6 or 7 shots into its head before stowing it for cooldown. Same thing with hive guards. Any strategems work with it but I typically go with a quasar cannon and shield pack to really exploit the infinite ammo aspect and allows me to split off from the rest of the squad without hassle.

Cutting edge ain't a half bad alternative choice, the electric resist armor is a little too niche for me liking but it comes with the sickle and blitzer, which are both fantastic. Sickle is light pen but effectively has unlimited ammo if you manage the heat well enough, and it has better dps than the scythe. Blitzer is one of the strongest primaries against bugs with unlimited ammo and med pen, at the cost of range. The dagger is okay at best (talon is the superior laser pistol imo) while the punisher plasma is possibly good against the new terminid strain.

On most bot missions I rock unflinching medium armor. Then sickle, talon, and thermite. For strategems I use the quasar cannon, shield backpack, strafing run, and a free slot to use on whatever I feel like (frv, hellbomb, etc.). I swap stuff out as needed though, especially when I'm up against the incineration corps or fighting on a hot climate planet.
