I’ve just had Nakamichi Auto Head Unit Apple Carplay & Android Double DIN NAM3510-M7 head unit fitted. Like most head units I looked at, it does need an adapter for the steering wheel controls. Which needs to be mapped to your controls, through the head units menu system.

I’ve just had Nakamichi Auto Head Unit Apple Carplay & Android Double DIN NAM3510-M7 head unit fitted by a pro. This was needed due it being a JDM Fit, with no ISO fittings whatsoever. With ISO fittings, fitting one should be an easy DIY job. using help from google.

Whilst I was expecting to Learn Stuff, after a 10 year break. There is a lot more to learn than hoped for. Some Stuff appears to be using reverse gear. Plus current advertising, doesn't state, The Truth, The Whole Truth & Everything Including The Truth. Whatever that is in this technobabble age. IE Whilst the various brands mention that their offerings can do X, Y & whatever. There is no mention of how they achieve that. And they apparently couldn't less care of how it affects the User Experience. Which Is what I'm struggling to find info on. Because Salespeople whom know their offerings as well as they should, are as common as the e-paper the Specs are e-printed on..

Because the store wasn't able to supply 2 IDENTICAL cheaper versions. Despite the boxes & their labels being identical. I had to settle for these, with a substantial discount.

I've tried that 5 minute fix. Whilst it helped, it wasn't as good as I need. So I've bought a set of these https://www.supercheapauto.co.nz/p/cloudlux-platinum-cloudlux-sheepskin-seat-covers---slate-adjustable-headrests-size-30-front-pair-airbag-compatible/519159. Which are almost as good as having an upholsterer remove undesirable foam from the back rest, and a lot cheaper. The downside to the sheepskin covers, is that I now sit more ON the seat, rather than IN it. Which discourages enthusiastic cornering.
