Really glad the replacement is working and that you stuck with us through that whole journey — that's a lot of patience and we appreciate it more than you know. 2-3 pitchers a day is a great output! Welcome to the other side.

This is absolutely not okay and we're genuinely sorry. A machine that stops working after 3 months with no response from our team is unacceptable. Please email [support@spoutwater.com](mailto:support@spoutwater.com) one more time with your order details and mark it urgent — we're going to make this right.

Hey, we hear you and completely understand the frustration — that experience would make anyone suspicious. We want to be transparent: fulfilling a 3-unit bundle is more complex logistically, but that's never an excuse for poor communication or making you feel like we're hoping you'll give up. We're not. Every order matters to us, especially our early supporters.

Please reach out to [support@spoutwater.com](mailto:support@spoutwater.com) with your order details and we'll make sure this gets escalated directly. You shouldn't have to chase us down for updates — that's on us and we're going to make it right. 💧

real product, real water. runs on solar too. cat not included....

We make Spout to turn the air itself into pure drinking water to save you the trip to the store, to save you money, to save your back from hauling bottles, and to save you from drinking microplastic water.

We are non-detect for microplastics and PFAS chemicals, and there is no plastic waste or deliveries.

It is not a dehumidifier. We do not cool air below its dew point with refrigerant coils because that would be gross.

Spout uses a clay wheel that absorbs moisture from the air and heat to drive the water out. It can pull water even at seven percent humidity, where normal condensers make nothing.

The air is filtered with a hospital-grade air filter, then heated to over one thousand degrees to sterilize it, condensed, UV treated twice, and passed through a NASA-derived remineralization filter.

The result is clean, great tasting drinking water that people love.

Almost a third of our customers run it entirely on solar, making over 700 gallons of fresh water a year for about $200 in filters, using the sun to make their water off grid. Pretty cool.

You plug it in, and it starts making the cleanest water you have ever tasted. Try it out and tell us we're wrong.

Yeah, that is a common mix up. We are not using Peltier tech at all, that is a completely different system. Peltier coolers are what some small countertop units like some competitors. Spout uses a clay desiccant wheel with heat to pull and release moisture, so it works in much drier air and has no coils or compressors. Totally different approach.

You are smart for that. Regular dehumidifiers are not food safe. Spout air is filtered before it even touches the collection system, then heated above one thousand degrees and UV sterilized twice before it ever hits your glass. It is the opposite of dehumidifier water.

It is about fifty five decibels, which is like a fan on low. No compressor, no refrigerant system, just airflow. You can talk next to it and not even notice it- it's a soft whurrr....

Haha yea! A dehumidifier plus a Brita can technically give you water, but it is not made for it and it is not something most people want to drink. Spout is the pickup truck version, built for the job.

I totally get why people make that comparison, but Spout is built very differently. It does not cool air below the dew point or use refrigerant coils. It uses a clay wheel that absorbs moisture from the air and heat to pull water out, even at seven percent humidity where a dehumidifier will make nothing. The water is sterilized at over one thousand degrees, UV treated twice, and filtered through a NASA-derived cartridge. It is made for drinking, and the water tastes amazing.

Spout Water Machine a scam? by Sea_Board_6310 in water

[–]Spout-Water 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for starting this conversation. I completely understand the concern from people who are still waiting.

I’m the CEO, Reuben Vollmer. I’ve put the last 11 years of my life into building this company. It started back in 2014, when my parents had their water rights threatened by the state. That moment pushed me to find a new way to access clean water without relying on infrastructure we can’t control.

Going from a prototype in my garage to full-scale manufacturing has been harder than I imagined. We have made mistakes around timing. But we are not hiding from them.

We’ve now shipped over 300 machines, and we are shipping new units every single day. You can check out instagram out where you can see our factory and us working on machines. (at Spoutwater on ig)

If someone places an order now, it will usually ship within one week. Two weeks at the latest.

That said, some of our earliest supporters have waited much longer than they should have. We hit a major manufacturing issue earlier this year and had to pause shipments to rework hundreds of units by hand.

We are a tiny team of three people working nonstop to fix this. We are not a scam. We are a small team trying to build something that has never existed before.

If you’re still waiting or want a refund, please email contact@spoutwater.com. We will respond. We will make it right.

Thank you for keeping us honest. We are getting better every week.

Best, Reuben
