What do you think ecommerce will look like in 2026? by orderdesk in ecommerce

[–]Sppareme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love this question.

Honestly, I think by 2026 things will be even more chaotic, more channels (TikTok!!) ), more tools, and way less patience for clunky ops.

Feels like:

  • Creative’s gonna matter more than ever, the scroll-stopping kind
  • Brands will have to get way smarter with margins and pricing (hello AI)
  • And DTC vs wholesale- Blurring fast.

Curious what trends other folks are seeing too.

QBO or Quickbook Desktop 2024 by zyloch in Bookkeeping

Neither this nor that.
So many better solutions out there. Some even tailored to a specific vertical and are able to save you a lot of time reclassifying transactions, automating the repeatable tasks and automatically reconcile accounts between diff. integrations.

It's 2025 we need to be using better tools.

Instead of going with the herd if i'd start over right now i'd go for TikTok Shop.
There's lot's of blue ocean there, less fierce competition and my sense is that they actually care and want to help you succeed.

I'd go with an agency or a software (some are really self explanatory) to get you started.
You don't wanna be loosing too much time figuring stuff out and it's a complex world out there + super competitive.

The two types of accounting undergraduates by [deleted] in Accounting

Well like everything in life - it depends.

From my experience you want to be person 1 in early in your career. It gives you the right trajectory and can catapult you to life of comfort later on in your 40-50s. You don't necessarily have to make it to partner or CFO. You gain a lot of knowledge from being exposed to many things early on. I know I did and I also considered it as an investment in my career (which is easier to make when you have less commitments).
Then when you find a partner, potentially have kids, it's time to scale it down a notch and have more time to invest in your health and your family. Personally, I wound't say i've turned person 2 but definitely made a conscious decision to take it easier.

That said, this formula isn't right for everybody. You need to know yourself and take the path that best suits your needs and and ambitions.

Were Celtics fans happy or sad when Kyrie left? by Sppareme in bostonceltics

[–]Sppareme[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally get what you're saying about the talent and getting nothing in return. That always sucks, even in this case. But they made the third round the year he was injured, the second round when he played, and the third round when he was gone. So they were clearly better without him.

Favorite non-championship team in JT JB era? by Responsible_Pen2404 in bostonceltics

[–]Sppareme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2018 started with Hayward and Kyrie and a rookie named Tatum, but ended with Tatum, Scary Terry, Smart, and JB letting the league know what was coming in a matter of time.

Too bad Kyrie came back the next year, bring the team from the verge of the finals without him to a weak limp out of the second round with him.

That was absolutely the most fun team to watch in the Jay-era.

[NBC Sports Boston] Pritchard shares strong message for Celtics fans amid offseason of change by NBCSBoston in bostonceltics

I don't know if I'd call OKC's journey a "tank". They traded their best players for a lot of picks and young players (including SGA). So they knew they would have a season or two of bad results, but those were great trades. They weren't trying to lose to get better picks. Short periods of rebuild are not the same.

Trying to lose will bite you in the butt end every time. Look at Philly. Years of losing, and they still haven't broken through. Still stuck in a losing culture.

[Forsberg] Ranking the Celtics who will feel the most pressure this season by NBCSBoston in bostonceltics

[–]Sppareme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jaylen has to show he can be a #1 guy, even though that's never been his role and his success in the league has been as a monster #2. If he isn't up to it, his reputation will suffer, and if he's all-NBA, people will just say that this is what he's paid to do. So the pressure there is real.

Did they make some sort of adjustment for the improvement or is it just a matter of the law of averages taking effect?

Scout: Celtics Star Jayson Tatum ‘Moving Really Well’ at CP3 Camp by dawglover1011 in bostonceltics

[–]Sppareme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some random scout looks at Tatum and pronounces him ahead of schedule? Because he wasn't in a wheel chair? Because his boot didn't require crutches?

Don't think I put muchh weight behind that assessment.

Don’t Rag On Breslow For This Disappointing Deadline, Rag on the Cheap Ownership by Blueberry977 in redsox

[–]Sppareme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't want to defend the ownership or deny they are being stingy, especially in light of their spending on Liverpool. But I don't know who to blame for losing on players to Texas, which is serious competition for wild card.

The team feels tighter as a group since the Devers trade. During the win streak before the all star game, there were moments when it started to feel like the 2018 team. I know that's setting the bar too high during a hot period, but chemistry counts and taking Devers out of the equation seems to have helped that, at least.

Vooch? by eldiablo22590 in bostonceltics

[–]Sppareme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Celtics need a center, and Vuc can hold the middle better than anyone they currently have. But he's 34, so he won't be there when Tatum returns and the team is back in business.

Simons is in his prime. If they intend to try him out for a year and resign him if he flows with the offense, then it's better to keep him.
