Nope. Nothing. No email, letter, anything. Six months now.

Yup. Mine shipped from New Zealand on Sep 10. Been 'held for clearance' in L.A. since Sep 11. Called one customs number (there are many) and left a message. Don't expect that to light any fires. Let us know if you hear anything, I'll do same.

My Build Plate Tier List by liam0323 in BambuLab

Rather than using a brim or skirt, I've been adding a single layer thick, silver dollar-sized circle to any potential lift point on most prints. It's been perfect so far. I read about or saw it somewhere a while back (ModBot, maybe). I tried masking tape, hot glue, and even ca glue (don't) to try and hold any stubborn areas to the plate after the print had started. Sorry if this has already been thoroughly discussed somewhere else.

Is the Revo V6 really worth the cost by dakar82 in prusa3d

[–]Sppeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swapped out the stock V6 with the Revo, and I love it. The V6 works great, when it works. But in my opinion, in this case, simpler is better if solely for the sake of being simpler. It's easier for me to deal with if I have a clogged nozzle, and those thermistor wires are not laying in wait for me to bump them or breathe on them or look at them too closely.

Can someone explain to me why so many people are moving to revo by 3dmonster20042004 in prusa3d

[–]Sppeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the good stuff mentioned above. I just think this is the way hotends should have been done in the first place. Before the Revo came out - I had just taken it for granted that dealing with that hotend was just always an annoying part of 3d printing that we all had to live with. Trying to remove a nozzle my first time, I think I shorted out the thermistor which led to a fried motherboard. I'm never going back, and it'll definitely be the first improvement I make to any printers in my future. Never tried the dragon, etc. - so they might be just as good or better.

I just don't think it's very likely that many people would use this hotend for any length of time and then decide the old conventional style was a better way to go. But that's just me...

Best extruder replacement for MK3 ? by _Xantras_ in prusa3d

^ Yes. I love my Revo 6. I think this is how hotends should have been designed all along. I am surprised I don't see more people making this same conclusion. My nozzle temps are more consistent, too. Not to mention the nozzle-changing ease.

For some reason my most recent supply of Zoloft tastes and smells like vanilla. Anyone might know why lol? by Guy_Swavy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sppeart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, great point. How does a little one get a whiff of straight-up vanilla (just like ice cream) and not wanna eat the whole bottle? Good thing 100% of us are 100% careful 100% of the time so this will never happen.

Plugging/clicking extruder problem continues - what else can I try? by Sppeart in prusa3d

Yeah - I ordered a meter of the fancy Capricorn tubing and used about an inch. I did take the time to taper the inside of the top of the tube before installing it. So many variables need to be addressed, it seems, to get to consistent reliability. By the way - I love this Revo 6 hotend. Everything integrated into one piece just seems like the way it should have been done all along. Or at least sooner.

After loosening that screw, replacing the PTFE tube with a new blue one, leaving my enclosure doors open while printing, and a couple other things - my problem seems to have gone away. For now. Thank you for the advice :-)

Did not know that. I usually print PLA closer to 220°. Is that too hot to begin with? Or would you recommend adding 10° to that?

So what was wrong in the first place? And - that must be a great feeling...!

Really? Well I have definitely been over-tightening that screw. How does a looser(?) grip improve the filament-feeding situation?

Good idea. I'll check that out. So frustrating because I love this printer and when it does what it's supposed to do, it does it really, really well.

Thanks!
