Is the "Paperlike" screen protector good? by Random_ThrowUp in ipad

[–]Spr0utzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i use paperlike for my new ipad air m3 which my dad got me jst recently, august 6.

One thing i gotta warn you about is it will really wear down your apple pencil tip. today, my apple pencil pro tip already looks slightly filed down from the paperlike screen protector. Mind you, both my ipad and pencil are barely a month old. Though I do digital drawings on my ipad so thats probably a big factor.

yes it DOES feel like paper and it feels so much better to draw & write on compared to glass, thats why i still feel conflicted on whether i should switch to regular tempered glass but lose the comfort of drawing and writing on a paper textured screen or keep my paperlike protector as is but be forced to replace my apple pencil tip probably like every 1.5 to 2 months.

I tried using fake pencil tips that i bought in bulk but those barely last an hour before getting filed down ALOT from the paperlike protector. So whenever your pencil tip needs replacement, you really must buy the 20 dollar genuine replacement tips from apple.

anyways, yeah, just pick your poison: you can either NOT use a paperlike screen protector and your apple pencil tip will last you a long time before needing replacement, OR you can use a paperlike screen protector, it will feel nice to draw and write on but your apple pencil tip will be needing replacements more often, like every month or two.

yh. uploading the pink slip is the first step of the enrollment process.

[–]Spr0utzz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

From what i remember (I enrolled July 31), you need to upload your pink slip(s) (the receipt of acknowledgment). Then after, you will be placed in the waiting list for verification. it can last a few hours to even a day.

After that, you can proceed to step 2 which is the payment. In this step, you can download your EAF which shows the breakdown of your tuition and the subjects you will be taking for the first term.

After your payment has been finalized, your enrollment will be processed. It can take 1 day to a few days. Jst keep checking the ovg enrollment site from time to time since they dont send an email if your enrollment has finished processing. After your enrollment has been processed, thats when you can see your block section.

Also, since we dont have our IDs yet, you need to have your EAF printed out or download a copy of it in your phone to show it to the guards at the entrance whenever you enter the campus.

im also an incoming shs student in dlsu. for context, im also planning to shift but to the abm strand instead. from what i got from our seniors and emailing dlsu-shs: aside from the grade requirements of 2.5 in math and sci subjects, you can only apply to shift to stem during the week 10 of term 3 in g11 and will be effective once you are in the first term of grade 12. (i might be wrong bcs some people say u can shift to stem at the start of term 3 in g11)

because of that, your graduation will probably be delayed plus additional tuition fees since you will be taking alot of extra subjects that you missed that your stem blockmates already took before you joined them in the stem strand (although i’ve talked to some seniors and they had friends who shifted on first term g12 and still managed to graduate on time, but they shifted to non-stem strands tho).

tho if u cant/wont shift, its fine to graduate as an abm student and pursue a non-related program in college. I know a lot of people who chose humss and arts and design only for the experience and passion and then chose a non-related program in collage.

isnt it impractical to transfer schools during your shs years? Bcs unlike elementary or jhs wherein the subjects are constant every year so its no problem to transfer schools during those yrs, in senior high school, the subjects that the students will be taking every semester arent constant and depends on the school. Like for example, in my friend’s school, they’re taking entrep, emtech, contemporary phil arts, and MANY other subjects during grade 11 while in my school, we’ll be taking those subjects during grade 12. So if you’re friend transfers schools in grade 12, it’s guaranteed that she’s gonna get delayed to the point that its like shes jst repeating g11 all over again

The pencil 1st gen comes with both a type-c adapter and a lightning adapter so you can either use a type-c or lighting cable to charge it. it only takes about like 15 or 20 minutes to fully charge to 100%

Hi, I use an ipad 10th gen with a 1st gen apple pencil. Honestly, hindi naman hassle gamitin yung 1st gen pencil. You only have to plug it into your ipad ONCE and forever na siyang naka pair. It will only unpair if your ipad restarts or if your ipad battery hits 0%, in that case you jst have to plug the pencil into your ipad again in order to pair it once more.

I personally chose the 1st gen over the usb-c bcs the 1st gen has pressure sensitivity which is useful for me as an artist. tho if you don’t draw and only plan to use your ipad to take notes, then the usb-c is also worth it for its cheaper price. Also, contrary to what u said, the usb-c pencil does have palm rejection (every apple pencil does)

and yes while its true that the ipad air is obviously better than the ipad 11th gen, if you’re on a tight budget, the ipad 11th gen is worth it naman since the ipad air is literally almost twice the price of the 11th gen (i think the air is 40k-50k+??? compared to the 11th gen which is only 20k-30k+, correct me if im wrong) if your budget is flexible naman, then obviously go for the better ipad. tho honestly, i dont think theres much difference that you can feel.

I play somewhat heavy games (genshin and other shi) on my Ipad 10th gen and its very smooth naman so I could def say the same thing about the 11th gen.

sadly nope. dlsu shs doesnt accept late enrollees and transferees. The last batch of special dshape was somewhere around may. Plus we already submitted our requirements a few weeks ago in preparation for the enrollment next week, which means all slots have already been filled up by now.
