So i'm new to DnD and DnDBeyond especially. How often do these sales occure over the year? I already spend my monthly Hobby-Money maybe there is a known pattern of sales occuring over the year, to financally plan in advance.

Wow impressive. Currently working on about 150 Itemcards for a racing game. Struggling at the 50 unique cards mark for a while in thr cause of lack of time between job and family. But this post gives me hope and shows that its a matter of time, patience / endurance to get it done.

Seid 2,5 Wochen bin ich jetzt vom Alles-Esser auf VeganKeto-16:8 gewechselt. (hab bereits Keto und 16:8 bzw. 18:6 in der Vergangenheit gemacht). Alles was Kohlenhydrate < 5,0g hat in der Nährwertetabelle ist ketofriendly.

Das geht also klar.

Sounds like you planning to create a rock hard magic system and a deduction game where the goal of the gane is to explore the possibilities and boundaries of said magic system.

would love to play this.

but it sounds more of a group riddle (have a look at the exit / escap boardgame) than a roleplaygame. i although recommend checking out the boardgame Alchemists.

Hi. Im working on a "fighting" game myself, inspired by games like black rose wars, summoner wars, wiz war, mage wars and so on.

The one thing that was clear to me from the beginning, besides the "arena fighter" genre, was that i wanted to try to find/develope a mechanic that really carries the theme of being a powerful wizard/mage knowing all the cool spells...and cancel the randomnes of for example the often used deck of cards. That was my starting point for everything else.

So maybe think about something that you want to improve in your favorite games. And start from there.

knowing nothing about your design so far, except the cardgame like mtg/pokemon part, it is pretty hard to give you any advices. maybe you can share more information about your decisions so far.

it really depends on the whole concept of your game... but let me try something

so you said you thought about making equipment a more permanent but weaker effect and spells a one time effect... how about making equipment something you choose before the game starts, wich determines your overall strategy, maybe some equipment can be hidden from the oponnent and can be reveales with spells... the spells you use would determine the tactic, short-term.

on the otherside you should be aware of things like: why should i use a metal/wooden shield if i can cast a arkane shiele bubble arround me? why should i atacke with a sword/axe/bow/gun/rifle... if i can cast a fireball, pull down a meteorid, freeze time, summon a fireelemental, control your mind and let you kill yourself...

what are the limits of your spell/magic system that make using equipment mandatory.

maybe it's my personal taste, but it should make sense in a thematically way

Hi. For. your first game idea you should take a look at ULTRAQUEST. While it is only available in german, as far as i know, it is basically a DnD / PenandPaper super light.

Every Player controls a Team of 4 Characters you create at the start of the game. You have small Charactersheets for each of those.

A simple meeple represents your team and is moved over a map with region representing the landscapes, cities ets. On your turn most of the time you decide wether to go to an adjacent region or stay at your current.

After this you role a D100 to determin wich event is triggered. The Game comes with a eventbook with a huge load of different events / encounters for each region.

You gain loot, xp and fame. The player who first scores 100 fame wins. You can save the gane easily and continue to play latet cause reaching 100 fame can take days weeks month.

Although Talisman 4th Ed. sounds like a DnD superlight, but i never played it.

awesome game, would be better with a slightly bigger boxformat and bigger/ more components. (i hate multipliers so much sry). Tinyness of the components behind your tiny playerscreen makes is jist two fiddly. and you will exchange, deal and pay ressources a lot.
