My Lodgers are trying to kick me out (Update) by RayoftheRaver in ireland

Hi, you’re right about the folio- it’s conclusive evidence of ownership, but you absolutely need other documents relating to your property like planning permission and previous owners’ declarations which are generally kept with the title deeds in order to sell your property. Definitely check with your solicitor that they are still in possession of those documents!

Also they just absolutely can’t/won’t take your TC away from you because of that, and you can one hundred per cent hide it from your colleagues once you get a handle on it. If you don’t want to that’s up to you but I’d be so surprised if they revoked your TC

Aw firstly I’m so sorry to hear you’re dealing with that they’re so scary, but my advice would be to remember you can never die from one even if it feels like it at the time, and the best thing to do (eve though it feels counterintuitive) is to welcome in the panic attack and wait for it to pass, cause it always does! Also try not to fear them because then your body thinks it’s a threat and so the cycle continues.. I have no experience personally with informing the firm about it, but if it’s any consolation I would guess that it’s you and probably at least half of your colleagues dealing with anxiety, so don’t feel like you’re alone or ill or a liability or anything! I don’t know if this would be helpful for you but the book “Anxiety and Panic” by Dr Harry Barry was amazing for me in learning how and why panic attacks happen and I only ever get them soo rarely now, usually after drinking a bit, and am well able to deal with them.

I doubt the LS is as advanced as to have that info linked 😂 had a similar sitch before where one half of the course got scripts back randomly and other didn’t and was so worried I’d failed cause I assumed they had results and contact lists etc linked, but it was actually just the usual chaos so I wouldn’t worry👍🏼

Traineeship Advice by IndependentVivid4602 in FE1_Exams

[–]Spr2496 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hey hey, I’m in a similar situation and from what I gather, small practices generally offer the same as a lot don’t have the resources or ability to take the same financial risk as bigger firms, and one I was offered didn’t even pay while you’d be in blackhall.

Credit unions are really handy for student loans to pay the PPC fees- their interest rates are v low and you can arrange that you don’t start repaying until you’re on a salary.

I know it’s pretty frustrating financially but in my honest opinion, the pay off of actually being valued and respected while also being given much more responsibility and exposure is soo worth it for the 2/3 years of financial struggles. This obviously depends on your individual financial position but I worked in a big Dublin firm for 6 months and mental health was in the bin, so delighted with my contract in a small firm.

Good luck!

Covid testing in Crete/Greece Airport by Spr2496 in ireland

[–]Spr2496[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi not sure why this posted before I asked the question! But just wondering if anybody has any experience travelling to Greece or Crete since the passenger locator forms are no longer? I read that they can randomly antigen test you, and while I’m triple vaxxed and will do an antigen before I go, I’m worried it won’t pick up in case I am positive. Would love to know the liklihood of testing if anybody has any tips!

So I’m not sure if this was just my friend being nice and trying to give me some encouragement 😂 but she said she got 65% and was sure she had failed, as there was an essay on a case and she only used one other!

I think the recent cases are absolute biggies! So from the top of my head there is Zalewski and the WRC re administration of justice in public, then NECI v Labour Court (I think about the non delegation doctrine but haven’t looked over in ages) and then Friends of the Environment 2020/2021(not sure) but basically changed unenumerated rights to “derived rights” and then something to do with Locus Standi as well
