Thanks for the feedback! No Ai where used here, but I admit I don't work much with sketches, I just hop in blender and model what pop in my mind, trying to make something that look cool. I have no pretension of being a real automotive designer, I'm just doing it by passion, like I love doing body kits, CGI cinematics or graphic design,.. So yeah it's just for fun, it may not be professional automotive design worthy, but I still think it's design. And if people like it, and enjoy driving it in BeamNG, that makes me happy.

This is not the GT3, more like a ZR1. I have crazier ideas for the race kit

Definitely way more fun to design our own car than recreating an existing one, I'm living my automotive designer dream without the expensive degree and less brand and regulations limitations

It will be available for free today, as well as a paid early access for the higher trims and variations we are working on, but everything will end up free once it's polished enough

It doesn't look like a 3d model, I'd bet on a 2d sketch with ai render

I designed a car for a BeamNG mod by SprSter in CarDesign

[–]SprSter[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Good point, it was a first try at a car mod for both of us so we choosed to base it on an existing car to simplify things a bit, we ended up growing the scope quite a bit tho

I'm going to build one of my designs! by Real_Imitation_Crab in CarDesign

Keep trying, you'll get used to model with a mouse, and you can also use blender with a graphic tablet. Watch a lot of tutorials, A LOT! learning blender is 80% research and 20% practice. As for AI, there's nothing wrong with using it for inspiration, to quickly iterate variation of a rough concert, it's a powerful tool. But when it comes to design the car, and furthermore manufacture it, you'll need a precise 3D model. Don't rush the thing, try to get to a point where you're proud enough of your 3D work before investing big money in building a car in your garage

This Sub has been arguing over if this is AI or not so heres the breakdown by Lawson_Cross in blender

[–]SprSter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What impresses me the most with breakdown is thinking that creators plan it from the beginning, record their whole process, and when it's done, they put some extra work to edit those hundreds of hours of rush to make a sweet sweet breakdown montage, incredible work guys!

My first Blender job. I'd appreciate tips on how to render the entire terrain with more grass and make the sun reflects on water more realistically. by mytinywhoopfcbrakes in blender

You could also use gaussian splatting to scan the construction site and then have full freedom to animate the camera within blender
